    Warranty
    Warranty information: Hearing Instrument Warranty Summary: Included in the purchase price of a hearing aid is a one-year repair warranty. This covers the hearing instrument and the SIE tubing, if applicable. 
    Members have the option of purchasing extended warranties that would offer coverage for two, three and four years. The extended repair warranties are only available on the hearing aid products, not the Personal Sound Amplification products or custom earmold products. Warranties can be purchased up to 90 days from the original purchase date. 
    Warranties cover malfunctions of any part of the hearing aid, not related to misuse of the product. Warranties do not cover the loss of an instrument or aids that are damaged beyond repair such as an aid that would require all new internal components to repair.

    Excellent for those with mild or moderate loss

    A reasonable cost alternative for those with mild to moderate hearing loss. There are issues getting used to the hearing aid and fitting properly. Also issues with the app that can be annoying. But their customer service for technical issues are very good and if needed they can set up time with staff in the hearing aid center at Sams to help though you do need to set this up through their customer service to avoid extra cost. I would say that these work best for those who are comfortable with technology and its occasional glitches. The first week I found took getting used to but after that very comfortable. Have been using now for three weeks and very pleased. Consumer Reports in their latest (November 2022) issue have discussion of the OTC hearing aids. I chose the battery operated as it is easy to change batteries and Sams has low cost offer on these. Also chose behind the ear and think those work best vs the in the ear models.

    Lucid Engage OTC Hearing Aids - A Great Investment

    The hearing aids have exceeded my expectations! Among other things, I can finally enjoy watching TV again. In the past, even though I turned up the volume, I would have a difficult time understanding what was being said. Now, I understand 98% of what is being said. It has been nice not to have to ask people to repeat themselves (sometimes 2 or 3 times) when having a conversation - and probably nice for them. It has taken a couple of weeks of adjustment, but now I don't even know I am wearing the aids. The best endorsement for these OTC hearing aids is: If something happened to them today, I would not hesitate to replace them tomorrow.

    hearing is possible

    I didn't realize what sounds I was missing. Water running sounds so crisp, plastic makes noise. My wife has super hearing and I couldn't understand why she noticed when I opened a wrapper. Sounds are so distinct. Even on mild mode. The Lucid hearing app is amazing, you can set the volume for both or each ear, the programing gives you options (mild, moderate, bass boot, and max). the lucid shape gives you the ability to change the DB level for each ear and pinpoints specific frequency levels for your best hearing of each ear. The only thing I have encountered is with an android phone the Bluetooth doesn't pair unless it has ASHA (look it up on google). Apple phones no problem
