LG front load WM3400CW washing machine

I have had the washer now for about a week. During this time I have done 8 loads of laundry. I am very satisfied with how the washer is cleaning the cloths. (My previous was a top load machine by a different manufacturer, and did not like the performance). There may be a learning curve for me, as I did a couple large bulky loads of blankets and they seemed to me to be a tad wet when the wash was done. So perhaps I should have chosen a heavy duty cycle, or an extra spin. I’ll have to read more on the suggested cycles in the on-line LG manual for use. On how to choose extra options. As for the rest the machine was extremely quiet. I could not hear it running when I was on the main level of my house. (Washer is in basement and there are only six steps up to main level) so I was very pleased with that. I purchased a set of anti vibration pads for the feet of the washer because I have a slippery flooring. That machine did not move at all. Overall I am very happy with this new unit.

Thank you for the fantastic review! We are thrilled you love your new LG washer and its cleaning power. You hit the nail on the head regarding the bulky blankets—switching to the Heavy Duty cycle or adding an Extra Spin will easily solve that. It is also wonderful to hear that the anti-vibration pads kept it rock-solid and whisper-quiet upstairs! This is LG's goal: to provide great, high-quality products, such as this washing machine. Enjoy your sparkling clean laundry and reach out anytime to our careQ support team https://www.lg.com/ca_en/support/contact-us/ if you need cycle tips! Thank you for choosing LG!

    New Washer

I have had this washing machine only a few weeks, but it seems to be working well. I like the fact that I do not have to use a lot of detergent and that the machine doesn't use as much water as my old top-loader. I have not quite gotten the hang of all the options - there are a lot, but that will come with time (AND I have to wear my reading glasses to be able to figure things out - shoot, I didn't think of that annoying fact when I picked the machine). Interesting fact that I didn't know is that you have to leave the door on the front loader open when you are finished using the machine.

    Good Results with Less Detergent!

I needed to replace an old wash machine in my new home. Having previously owned an LG top load machine with good results and based on good reviews in my research, I decided on getting the LG WM3400CW front load wash machine. I have been using my new machine for just over a week. It is important to note that on my first large normal load, I discovered what appeared to be a 'leak' at the rear bottom of the machine (straight below the drain hose). After some research, I discovered this 'leak' can be the result of using too much detergent. I learned all you need to use for a front load washer is max 2 TBSP of HE liquid detergent for a large load and 1 TBSP for a small to medium load. Do not use your detergent cap as a guide! Since reducing the amount of detergent, I have not had any issues. Lesson learned, I am pleased with the wash machine - I like the fact it has many cycle options to customize my wash while it uses less water. I hope to use this wash machine for many years to come!

Congratulations on your new home, and welcome back to the LG family! We're absolutely thrilled that your research led you to the WM3400CW and that your previous positive experience with LG gave you the confidence to choose us again. Thank you so much for sharing your experience and the helpful tip about HE detergent. You're absolutely right—because high-efficiency front load washers use much less water, a small amount of HE detergent goes a long way, and using about two tablespoons for a large load can help deliver the best performance while preventing oversudsing. We truly appreciate you sharing that insight with other customers. It's also wonderful to hear you're enjoying the customizable wash cycles and the washer's efficient use of water. If you ever have any questions or need assistance, our LG CareQ team is always happy to help at 1-888-542-2623 or via https://www.lg.com/ca_en/support/contact-us/. Thank you for choosing LG once again, and we hope your WM3400CW serves your home reliably for many years to come!
