Samsung Gear S3 Classic

Samsung Gear S3 Classic Review Construction – The watch body feels nice and weighty like any regular watch. The only major difference than a standard watch could be it is thicker than a normal watch except for oversized watches. The leather band supplied with the watch was thick and great quality leather. It is stiff to start but breaks in nicely for comfort. Display – The display is just as good as any Samsung phone with great definition which makes the watch faces loo great. The ability to view pictures and other content is very clear and detailed. Interface – Like any android phone, the ability to customize the widgets and arrangement allows for as much customization as wanted. Preloaded widgets are very useful and can easily add additional ones. Reading texts and emails is very easy and responding by writing characters is an easy to use and responding by speaking into mic quickly and correctly converts speech to text. Customizing the watch faces with other apps like Facer or Watchmaker allow for watch face customization from analog and digital designs to adding widgets directly on watch face. S Health – The watch works seamlessly with S Health to track fitness including steps, floors climbed, walking/running distance, etc. It also monitors and rates your sleep which was an unexpected function which helped improve my sleep which is not very good due to back injuries. The reminders for inactivity is nice for working at a desk job to move around and take a quick break from work which make me feel refreshed from a quick lap around the office or stretch. Final Thoughts – I was surprised as the Samsung Gear S3 was more capable than I thought smart watches were being using it. So far, I have come to read and discuss with people that have smart watches that the Samsung Gear S3 is one of, if not, the best wearable on the market today. I am extremely happy that I have this watch and that it was the one I choose due to the great quality and ease of use. I have a Samsung Galaxy S7 which brings familiarity to the brand but this watch is very capable on its own and highly recommend it.

Functional Fashion

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Admittedly I was very sceptical about this watch, the hype surrounding wearable tech has been mounting for a few years and it has failed to deliver on huge promises. After having spent significant time with the Frontier version of the G3 I've got to say, I have been quietly impressed! The appeal for of the G3 for me is that it has subtly become depended upon; I cant find my phone - I'll use the app to give it a ring or check location, I have received a message - can see a quick view on my watch, In the car receiving a call through the watch... Just little things that have become second nature. What makes me appreciate these things more, though, is the design of the watch - its conventionally stylish! With its large round bezel and 22mm standardised customizable straps it can be easily camouflaged as a regular watch - making it all the more astonishing to people when receive and act on notification (I've got to admit, I felt a bit like Bond the first night I wore it out!) To add to that the array of customizable watch faces makes, along with the straight forward strap changes makes it feel like a different watch, so I never feel restricted to wearing it just for functions sake. Unusually for me, the positives of this device are mainly the form factor and design. The integrals are excellent, good useful apps (and market) fantastic battery life and charging times. All good, but in all honesty its a nice bit of functional ostentation. With the rise and ubiquity of smartphones, watches have become functionally irrelevant surviving mainly as a fashion statement, a show of craftsmanship, pretty much the only subtle male jewellery - truth be told much of what can be done on the GS3 can be done with my phone at a minor inconvenience the GS3 just looks better doing it! While I don't feel its revolutionary or essential it'll be hard to go back to a conventional analog watch after the Gear S3

This watch is beautiful!

I have been using the Samsung gear S3 classic watch for the past month and have been very pleased with the way it’s been functioning. Even though the watch looks huge, but it does not feel heavy at all. In fact, its been so comfortable to wear that I have been wearing it all day long without any signs of fatigue on my wrists. The leather straps are good quality and feel great. I have owned other Samsung gears but I feel that this Gear S3 syncs seamlessly with my Samsung galaxy s7 edge. There is no lag in the functioning of this watch and the apps work smoothly. I am very happy with the built –in GPS and the S health tracks my daily activities with precision. The gear S3 classic has a very high resolution display and the watch face looks classy, bright and attractive in comparison to other wearables. The rotating bezel makes switching between apps a breeze. Overall it’s a wonderful addition to the Samsung gear family and am loving every bit of my gear S3 classic. Wearing the gear S3 classic has become a part of my daily routine now

Great Overall product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far I have owned my Samsung S3 and I have been greatly impressed with the product. The sleep tracker through S health is a great overall app that aids in tracking day to day. This product is actually overall very comfortable and battery lasts quite some time. I have been impressed with the sensitivity of the touch screen and the overall feel of the product.

Out of this world battery life

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've tried all the smartwatches released in the last few years, including each of Samsung's previous models. I have to admit that the most amazing thing with the Gear S3 is the battery life. It really is a huge leap forward. I've been getting a minimum of 3 days, which is phenomenal considering the size of the screen. I travel a lot, and I never need to take my charger with me! From a design perspective, it feels a very robust watch, but the downside is that it's rather bulky and when wearing with a formal shirt, then it doesn't slip under the cuff the way my Gear S2 did. My work keeps me at a desk all day, so when the watch reminds me that I've been inactive for a while and even shows me some stretches on the screen of the watch, then that's very useful. Also, when going for a walk, when I walk fast, I get a notification to keep up that pace. These small things count. I haven't been to the gym for a while but I did notice you can tell the watch which activity you want to record, even lunges! The automatic sleep tracking is brilliant and I love how you can twist the bezel to get to your day and get more details on sleep and activity segments during the day. I do like being able to customise the watch faces, so I can choose exactly what I want displayed and how it will look. A neat touch. I once got a call and answered it on the watch, and what was funny was the caller couldn't even tell I was answering the call on my watch! It was that clear. I go to a lot of events where I tweet a lot, and what's super cool is the the Twitter notifications which allow me to keep track of new interactions on Twitter without having to pull out my phone. I also find the Gear S3 to be very good for business meetings. If I get a SMS, it pops up on the watch and vibrates, and I can very discreetly review the message and select one of the template replies, without having to take my phone out of my jacket. Have I said how much I like the design where you can switch menus simply by twisting the bezel? This is way better than the S2, which was too smooth to touch, at least this is easier to grasp with your fingers. The Gear S3 definitely feels faster than any of Samsung's earlier watches. I even tried using S-voice on the watch, which is fun but S-voice is still a bit slow which is why I don't use it regularly. The most noticeable flaw in the S3 is the limited number of apps available. Overall though, it's definitely the best smart watch that Samsung have released to date.

Amazing Watch!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this watch. This timepiece is very well made and has a very stylish design. Not to mention, I received many compliments from friends, family, and co workers. The integrations are outstanding! The heart rate and health features are extremely helpful, it even reminds you when you haven't gotten up to walk in a certain amount of time. Furthermore, the Spotify, Uber, receive send text messages, and the ability to receive and call through the watch features frees you from your phone. The screen size and resolution is surprisingly well done and very bright.Overall, this is definitely a watch worth purchasing.

Watch stopped working 2 months out of warranty

I had this watch for a little over a year and it was okay, just okay. 2 months after the warranty expired, the screen randomly started acting up and then within 24 hours, the screen just stopped working all together. This happened coincidentally after a major software update. I guess I'm going to Garmin.
