First I want to say that the heart rate monitor is very accurate. I have checked it against an oxygen sensor and my blood pressure cuff. I love the exercise apps. the step counter is not accurate would be my only complaint about that. using the watch to answer and make phone calls works great people can hear me well and the speaker on the watch itself is pretty good I can hear conversations plainly. reading text messages works great as well. the only problem in that area is if you try to use the speech to text it doesn't understand a lot of what I say also the handwriting doesn't work perfectly it mistakes letters sometimes. so sending text using the watch is a little aggravating my biggest complaint about this watch is they say 4 days of battery life I'm sure that's probably using battery saver which turns off everything which is useless if you have a smartwatch you want for the capabilities anyway the longest I've gotten out of the watch so far and this is light use has been 40 hours at that point I had about 13% of battery life left and the watch was telling me I needed to charge it or put it on battery saver so if you're a heavy user you can probably get a day out of it that's kind of what I got the first time I had it and I was playing with it a lot takes about 2 hours to charge it may be a little more from 13% also the sleep tracker works very good with the Samsung Health app I use it constantly it really gives you some good information all-in-all I like the watch I just wish the battery lasted longer and you could send text message easier.

Bought 2 weeks ago. Altimeter doesnt work, from several hundred feet BELOW sea level, to several hundred feet ABOVE sea level in the same room of my building, hours apart. Calibration does not work from time to time, and when it does, it does not stay calibrated. Stairs counter is a TRIP! To get it to count the one flight of stairs in my house i have to scrunch down at the bottom of the stairs, proceed up the stairs while unscrunching my body, and close when i reach the top of the stairs with a defiant left fist in the air to get it to register 1 flight of stairs. Step counter pauses for unknown reasons, must be taking a nap? Stylish? yes. Plenty of functions that sync well with my Note 8? yes. Fitness tracker? Not. And before some well meaning Samsung tech replies back: newest apps and software/os installed, and phone and watch reset multiple times.

I am very impressed with the features of this watch. I have owned the Gear Neo 2 and this model is light years ahead in terms of features, performance, looks etc! Everything about this watch is a "10!" It no longer looks like an electronic watch until you scroll through the menus. It is as the name implies, a classic-classy watch!

I've been using my new Samsung gear S3 frontier for a couple of hours and seriously, I am not disappointed at all. This product deserves every penny that I spent on it. I am going to order one more for my little bro, it would be the perfect gift ever.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Having never previously owned a smart watch, I was looking forward to seeing what the S3 was all about and I must say, I haven't been disappointed. I've had the Gear S3 Frontier around a month now and I'm still getting used to some of the features of this very attractive looking smart watch. I currently own a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge and prior to this a Note 4 so am already a big Samsung fan. Out of the box it feels like a premium product with a good weight and premium materials. The large (but not too large) 1.3inch screen is a great size for a smart watch and wouldn't look too out of place on smaller wrists. The watch comes with the large strap fitted but also has the small strap included in the box. Samsung have really thought about the rotating bezel, I love it, and it has a good quality feel to it and can be turned easily using one finger, making it really user friendly. The wireless magnetic charging dock is very simple to use. One great advantage though is the quick charge which gives you about 10 hours use on a 20 minute charge. I also like the way the watch face turns on its side when docked which is great if you have it by the bed side overnight. The Tizen operating system is simple, easy to use and is very quick. It comes with many pre-installed apps and watch faces which can also be added to using the accompanying phone app. I will say the app choice is a bit limited currently but I'm sure this will improve over time. It needs Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp applications to finish it off. The built-in S-Health app is also improved with the aid of the new sensors. The Barometer and the Altimeter are great for tracking how many floors you've climbed and the GPS is good for distance and speed if you run or ride a bike. The IP68 rating also adds good protection too if you're sporty or if you like a bit of outdoor activity, I have worn in the shower and it is still operating perfectly. The battery life is great. Samsung say you should get 3 to 4 days out of it but I'm getting just over 2 day with the watch face always on. I'm sure you'd get more if it was off but I like it to look like a watch when I'm wearing it. I've experimented with many different watch faces from the official routes and some of the un-official stores, but I always seem to revert to some of the standard built in faces. I have had this for a couple of weeks and it has far and away exceeded my expectations. Coming from a Non Tizen smart watch it is amazing that I can now only charge this every 2 to 3 days and use the Sleep tracking on the Samsung. this device has so many great features from being able to answer a call on your wrist without taking your phone out... to switching a call from your wrist to your Bluetooth headset. Samsung Health is a great tool to keep you on track and give you info on your health. the integration with the phone and it's skill at providing the notifications I need is amazing. everyone thinks I am wearing a regular watch then they see it do more and they are amazed. This is a very useful tool and what I hoped to get when I bought my previous smart watch. This was a good choice. only thing I would change would be to make it Water resistant to 50 meters and this would be perfect. it is good that it has water resistance of 5 meters but that doesn't allow you to wear your watch when your swimming. maybe that is coming in the future generations. Charging is fast and easy with the Qi charger provided... if your on the fence and you can swing it you will not be disappointed.

Really nice watch, great battery life although charging is little slow, the software is very easy to use and very smooth, but the fact that I don't have have access or features to support Google now and Google maps and Google pay is killing this watch. I don't think it is fare to force me to use samsung S voice and limited samsung apps with no good navigation. Also Google now is my main planner and all my emails, appointments and reminders, even my sport results is get filter through it. Without Google apps support this watch does not woth the price

I love the frontier watch and i would love to have it come back every time. The classic has a nice design with a great big display. I think the size is a nice name for you. I look at my watch & say wow now that's a samsung watch and i feel like you can recognize that with the screen size and I feel like with a frontier we all know what we expect from it and that is why i bought it and the great thing about your frontier was the look and the making and how your frontier was what we know about a frontier and like your classic watch it is amazing and two good choices and I would like to see a samsung frontier watch come back for the next time.

I've owned the Apple Watch, I've owned the Moto 360, I've owned Pebbles and FitBits and I can truthfully say none of them compete with this watch. Think of a watch that can do everything. Now add 10 more useful features. That's the Gear S3. Would recommend to anyone who's serious about investing in a nice smart time piece.
