I wanted to love this mixer, it's such a good deal. But when I went to use it, I followed the book's advice. You check to see if the beater hits the bowl. Mine did slightly. You are to turn the screw counter clockwise to raise the beater. I did that. When I turned it on, it made a terrible noise and it damaged the beater, taking some of the paint off the bottom and the bowl didn't hang properly anymore. I'm sure it's a good mixer if you can get the beater and bowl adjusted properly. Apparently, counter clockwise lowered the beater on this one. I had to return it and bought the Artisan.

We previously had the KitchenAid home stand mixer purchased years ago for $250 that needed replacing when we saw the Pro available at Sam's for $299 that sold elsewhere for at least $459. We knew this is what we wanted and are so pleased with our purchase! We are recommending it to our friends and family and can't sing its praises highly enough. Thanks to Sam's Club for another top seller.

Mixer would not work wirh any thing in the bowl but air would stop mixer. Called the 1-800 number for Kitchen Aid said the would sen out a new mixer and would arrive in 7 to 10 days. Called back after 10 days and the said it was on back order and would ship in 4 to 6 weeks.

We've had a KitchenAid stand mixer for many years, and when it recently began having some issues, I had to decide whether to repair or replace it. That's when I saw the great Black Friday deal on this mixer. When we received it, I noticed a few things that were "cheaper" than my previous mixer, such as a lack of easy access to replace the motor brushes. Also, this mixer is NOISY...like very noisy. I may actually call KitchenAid and see if there is a problem - I can't imagine that this is normal.

You MUST have the actual UPC code for the rebate or forget it. If you don't cut the original off the box, you will be denied your rebate. The only option if you didn't save the box is to return it to Sam's Club for a new one and get a new box. SHOULD be advertised as such but it is not. It's fine print on the rebate form which you must download from KitchenAid. This information is NOT included in the packaging or in the Sam's Club ads or signage in the store.

KitchenAid Professional HD Stand Mixer.. Some kitchenaid mixers you have to lift the mixer head. Not this one! Pot goes up so no lifting the mixer head. I would recommend THIS mixer for older folks! Already made many batches of cookies and breads for the Holidays! Worked perfectly! I bought this on black Friday sale for 250.00 plus free shipping! Great value! 5 quart, 10 speed, 475 watt. Heavy duty... Great Mixer!

I bought this mixer to replace the one I I inherited from my mother. I loved my old professional model! I thought this was the same. It is not. The bowl size is smaller -5 quart, not 6 - and it just doesn't "feel" right. The whipping beater doesn't reach the bottom of the bowl or completely on the sides, so, really, mixing is not efficient. I can live with those issues, because I cannot afford an absolutely top of the line perfect mixer. The worst feature of this mixer is the handle on the bowl. It is thin -very thin - and it cuts into your hand when you hold the bowl. I have arthritis in my hands and this bowl is torture! My old model has a rounded handle and is very comfortable to use. I have a very big family and I use my mixer a LOT so this is a big problem for me. It is a beautiful mixer. I have the red one and it is so pretty buy it is going back. I'll keep looking for a repair shop for my beloved 6 quart professional model. I loved everything about that one!

I returned this mixer as I found it a bit cumbersome to use. Description did not explicitly state that the head flipped up, and it doesn't. There is a handle to bring the bowl up and down and I didn't like that. Even with the bowl all the way down I didn't find it really easy to put the wire whip in place. I suffer from arthritis, so that was a deal breaker for me. And with the bowl all the way up, the whip didn't seem to reach far enough into the bowl to mix properly. I don't know, maybe I just don't know much about kitchen products, but I didn't like it. I bought a different one (also Kitchen Aid) that flips up and with a smaller bowl that works much better for me.

This is like winning the EGOT, one of the Food Network challenges and the Great British Bake Off all in one!! This machine is pro level and sure to get a workout! Baking has always been my go to when feeling stressed and the pandemic revealed a whole ‘nother level (thus the extra weight!) and I'm still at it. I've always dreamed of owning the professional KitchenAid stand mixer in a gorgeous color, royally enthroned on my counter. I've always known together we would be unstoppable! But the $500+ price tag made it a pipe dream-Sam's Club's sale made it a dream-come-true!
