I have always wanted one of these and cannot believe I now own one! It is beautiful and super easy to use. I've been making breads and they turn out delicious but more importantly The ease and efficiency of this machine, especially considering I have arthritis in my fingers is fantastic. Truly happy with my purchase.

My grandson Callyn wanted a kitchen aide mixer so we got the family together and got him a5qt pro model. He loves to cook and bake and as we are a kitchen aide family , my dad and father in law both worked at Hobart in Troy Ohio. I was always happy with my first 5 at. My parents bought for me at a farm sale 50 years ago. It has a round fuse that screwed into the back and when it finally stopped working, I got a new 5qt. I hope his gets him though cookies for half time at football games and all the other events of raising a family like mine did.It is a good product.I wish someone would have thought of the new spachla beater.years ago

After wanting one of these mixers for years, I finally got one. I have been waiting for the right sale and finally saw it at Sam's Club. I used it today for the first time. It was wonderful. It was quiet, powerful, and easy to use. My only advice is to be sure the back of the bowl is "clicked" into place or you will think the attachments are hitting the bowl. Everything lines up properly when the bowl is put on properly and "clicks" into place. I just love it. Made a cake today - perfect! Next I will make a Lemon Meringue Pie. Oh boy, I can't wait to mix up that meringue!

Bought for my mom who loves to cook and makes our family recipe for polish pierogis for family gatherings. She was telling me about how her mixer just couldn't manage the thick dough and it was starting to become tiresome and painful for her wrists. She said that it used to take her 2+ hours just to make the dough (she makes a lot - we have a large family). With the kitchenaid mixer the entire batch is done in about 30 minutes!

I do a good bit of baking...various pastries, layered cakes, icings, etc. This mixer is great....handles heavy batters like a pro and it's fairly simple to clean up. I have noticed that it doesn't seem to get all of the batter that is on the side of the mixing bowl. I've used an attachment that has a little rubber spatula-like on the side of the beater to clean off the sides of the bowl, but I don't think it helps much. To work around it, I'll periodically turn the mixer off and use a rubber spatula to clean it off. It's really not that big of an issue for me. I still think it's a great mixer and I would definitely purchase it again! I'm very pleased with it and wish I would have purchased one a few years ago. Even though I have this mixer, I do still continue to use my smaller handheld Kitchen Aid mixer for simpler everyday things like mashed potatoes.

The mixer works well and adquately handles the big jobs. When using the small bowl, the beaters don't clean the batter off the sides of the bowl. I have to use a spatula to assure complete mixing of the batter. The motor also emits a fairly loud whine when running.

I bought this so I could start learning how to make gluten free breads and muffins for my husband, who now has a gluten allergy. I had shopped around and was comparing several different models and finally purchased this one. I absolutely love it. I have made muffins, bread, cakes, and pizza dough, all gluten free.

Do your research... As mush as I LOVE this mixer, as it definitely has the 525 motor, the extra 3qt bowl and whisk, all kitchenmaid attachments work with the hub and the price is great. However, I have been having a hard time finding extra bowls and whisks to fit this specific model. Knowing that kitchenaid makes quality mixers, I hope there isn't a time or need to replace what I can't replace.

This KitchenAid Mixer is what I've ALWAYS wanted and THANKS to Sam's and their discount I finally have one! I love the bowl lift feature, all the attachments, which are plenty for me, I adore the color I chose and it is NOT plastic!! BEST thing I've purchased in, well...years!

Mehhhhh....it's okay...its hardnto get the bowl on and off the hook and secured to two prongs on side of mixer. I notice the wisk and paddle attachments do not throughly mix ingredients at bottom of mixing bowl even with bowl at the highest level. I prefer my old school kitchenaid mixer. I will not return this one because it was a gift from my husband.
