[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this as a gift for my granddaughter as I already have a larger Kitchenaid and I'm very pleased with it. Making cookie dough is one the hardest items for a mixer; ours and hers handled it with no problem. We've had other mixers that would get hot and neither Kitchenaid went past warm. I work in a commercial Kitchen where we have several Hobart mixers-very similar in design other than they're huge, floor mounted devices.

Wish the mixing bowl was bigger and the adjustment to raise and lower the attachments is not an exact science, mine still would not reach the bottom of the mixing bowl when adjusted to the lowest setting which required some hand mixing to get all the ingredients on the bottom thoroughly mixed. Overall I really like it.

I received my mixer as an early mother's day gift and I couldn't be more thrilled. I've made French bread, sandwich bread, garlic knots, hamburger buns, banana bread and cookies with extra chocolate chips and pecans, which made an incredibly stiff dough. This machine doesn't even blink at it. I've used it at least every other day since I got it and I just can't say how wonderful it is!

It is also very quiet too compared to my kitchenaid mixer that I purchased two years ago. The reason for the 4 star is because there were issues with the switch where it doesn't work sometimes.

The bowl's size was big enough for me to get multiple batches of cookies in, it's super powerful yet quiet, easy to clean, and I love the color. So happy I bought this.

I cannot say enough good things about this mixer! It is SO powerful! I was using a MixMaster brand and am blown away by the difference. I also ordered the scraper beater, and don't have to stop the mixing process at all to scrape down the bowl. It reaches the whole bowl easily, and even keeps things from sticking to the dimple at the bottom. To get the consistency that took about 15 minutes (and nearly constant scraping) with my previous mixer now takes about 3 - 5 minutes. The lift-bowl stays in place well, and there's plenty of room to add ingredients with the bowl up. Small recipes look tiny in the 5-quart bowl, and it can be challenging to knead a small batch of dough thoroughly with the dough hook. I've not had any trouble with the beater or whip while making smaller batches, so it seems worth it to me to have the larger bowl. Pasta, bread, even chocolate chip cookie dough are quick and easy tasks for this machine. I have no trouble keeping the machine in place while it does these heavy jobs, it is the workhorse you expect it to be. Although it has an auto shut-down if the mixer overheats, I don't think it's something that would get much use; my mixer barely feels warm even after quite a bit of use. The machine is beautiful, the finish is easy to clean, and the Copper Pearl finish is just gorgeous. I felt a bit guilty spending this much on a mixer, but now that it's in use, I know it was an excellent investment. Highly, highly recommend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was a gift for my daughter who has worked in a bakery. She was thrilled that it was so similar to the large commercial mixer she used at work. Similar, but actually much easier for her to use because it's sized for home use.

On Thanksgiving day, we ordered this product from the local Sam's Club newspaper ad insert. I'd never seen a lower price anywhere for this powerful of a stand mixer. It was to replace a 37 year-old Sunbeam light duty stand mixer. It arrived 4 days later in good shape. Right away my wife tested it to see if it could knead bread dough. It did a great job, plenty of power. She's already bought a meat grinder attachment and loves it, too. We highly recommend this product and Sam's Club for the speed of getting it to us.

Received this as a mother's day gift from children, I absolutely love it and the attachments and the extra bowl is a plus..I would love to have the paddle with the spatula but can't seem to find one that is compatible, any help would be appreciated...

I was so wanting this mixer and when it arrived, it was missing the dough hook. The description clearly says that its included in the box with the other bowls, but not there. I checked the whole box and my garage thinking I may have dropped it but nope it's not there. Now, I may have to return it if I dont get the dough hook. What a drag!!
