I love this KitchenAid Mixer. It's strong and fairly quiet for a stand mixer. I used it for all my Christmas baking. Can't wait to try bread in it. The only reason I did not give it an Excellent in Value is because when I ordered it online from Sam's Club, the website said that in addition to the automatic $50 discount, a $50 mail-in rebate would also be coming with the mixer. It didn't.

Quality construction and design. It has worked well for brownies and cake mixes. It also performs very well for mixing spices into ground meat for making jerky. I have a 7-Up biscuit recipe that is very moist and this mixer didn't perform well for this. I tried 2 different mixing attachments. It is faster and easier to mix it by hand. Overall it is a great mixer and I would make the purchase again.

I have waited for years always wanting one of there mixers. Always had a terrible time mixing cookie batches and things by hand. With this mixer there is no need to do that. When my children were growing up I would have done a lot more things made from scratch. There are even attachments fot so many things. DON'T BE FOOLED. Most sales are for ones that have much smaller motors.. Like I have said looked at them for years, and thought they are cheapening them up making them not as strong. Compare regular prices for the differen strenghts. The 10 speeds come in real handy. The stronger motor allows you to mix cookies and dough without putting a real strain on it at all. I know whats on my list now is attachments. I can't wait to see what all can be done with this. Its been amazing so far. I really lliked the red but the other colors are really pretty but wouldn;t match my kitchen. All my Kitchen Aide pruducts are red with a few black. He was over the moon when he opened this gift. My grandson does most of the cooking and this item was at the top of his wish list. They are just getting their kitchen 'stuff' and this will last them for many years. A good investment.

I ordered this for my wife for Christmas. She has only used it once, so far and loves it! She has wanted one of these for years. The price was very good! Delivery was so fast! I didn't expect it for a few more days. I had to give it to my wife when it arrived (before Christmas) because it was shipped in the box with it's picture on the outside. No problem. She simply loves it!

I purchased this item because it had a $50.00 rebate. I am not sure if this amount was already deducted from my purchase price or if I need to send it in to receive the $50.00. I also would like to know where to purchase the attachments, like the pasta maker. Thank you!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this mixer as an upgrade for a smaller 20+ year old kitchenaide (still worked fine, by the way, just wanted something more powerful and larger). It's very powerful and has had no trouble with thick doughs. It's big enough to mix batter for a 3 layer cake without slopping over the sides, too. I'm very happy with it!

Every relative I have received a Kitchenaid mixer in their home. It's an extra set of hands when you need it the most with special events, holidays & gatherings. It's a workhorse that you'll be ecstatic you invested in. I've upgraded three times. Love it!

This mixer has it all, especially when you have all the attachments. But the power and ability to whip, mix and blend makes this a valuable asset in any kitchen. We use it for bread and all baking and with the extra attachments we can make our vegetables and fruits into sauce; make noodles or meat pates, juice and more.
