[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this a couple months ago and just recently used it to make dozens and dozens and dozens of Christmas Cookies. I have a smaller model that works great too, however, it seemed to strain under the double batched cookie dough mixing. I filled the 5 quart bowl several times with dough and it mixed like a champ. Made my icing whisper soft and fluffy. I love the ease of moving the bowl up and down, even with it full of dough. I did learn that it was best to put on the attachment you want to use first before filling the bowl, otherwise your ingredients may be in the way of properly getting it in the bowl to attach.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got my first KitchenAid mixer 40 years ago and only bought a new one to have a larger bowl. I will still use the older mixer during the holidays to give me twice the mixing power. I have many of the attachments, meat grinder, pasta maker, spiralizer, flour sifter, and a few others. I love the ease of attaching the accessories and how they make cooking and baking easier. I use the meat grinder to grind beef roast on sale, then use the flat beater to incorporate eggs and seasonings to make meatloaf or meatball. They are so well blended and flavorful.

I like the wide mouth bowl easier to add ingredients - only down side is trying to find the right size shield to buy for the bowl. no listing on Kitchenaid's web site - I tried live chat - 206 minute wait time!! made a phone call 90 Minute wait time - no thanks. I think I found one on another web site - hopefully it will fit. again - great mixer - lousey support

My 20 year old 3 quart model still runs like a champ, but the 5 quart capacity, together with a 3 quart bowl, beckoned me. My son will "inherit" my original mixer. I have only one complaint: my new mixer did not come with a recipe book like my old one did. How sad!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Worked in a number of restaurants during college, had plenty of experience with the KitchenAid commercial version and the big Hobart mixers but for some reason never bought one for home until a few weeks ago. Makes everything easier. From cookies and mashed potatoes to shredding chicken. I'm kicking myself for not having purchased sooner.

I had to make the frosting for my sons wedding cake and cupcakes. This mixer did a fantastic job and it was so much easier.

I will eventually get all the attachments to start eliminating my stand alone appliances to make more counter space.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've used this several times now. I do like it. I don't like that its' so heavy and bulky. I do like making fresh foods as opposed to prepackaged. Instructions could be better especially for first time users.
