I like making cookies and if I owned a cookie store there would be several of these mixers in use making cookies. I have owned several other brands and this is the best for my home use.

I've made several cheesecakes and homemade breads. Shredding chicken with the paddle is great! Very sturdy - Handles kneading dough very well. I bought the silver. It looks great on the counter! I'm very happy!

This mixer, new, is noisier than any of my previous KitchenAid mixers. I returned one new mixer of this model because the operational noise was twice as loud as the one I replaced it with.

In my mind it paid for itself that week and I started dreaming about everything else I wanted to make. The Combi-whip that came with mine wasn't working; eventually they needed to send a whole new unit, which came in about a week. So glad I could still use the 5-qt until having to return it. Has made my life so much easier!
