So far, we have used this for bread and cookies and it has been great! Watching the dough hook work my sourdough is really fascinating! I have many plans ahead for this and the accessories will help them happen!

I bought this after looking for years and years at a KitchenAid but didn't want one because the way it leaves dry ingredient in the bottom of the bowl. My husband convinced me to buy one. He found an after market beater with a rubber scraper. It went from a great mixer to a EXCELLENT mixer.

Great stand mixer that is very attractive and matches the other brick red accessories in the kitchen. The only problem I found was that I did not scrub (and I do mean scrub) the metal bowl long enough. There was a gray filmy residue in my first cookie batter. I Googled it and found that the bowl needs to have a pretty stringent cleaning regimen done prior to using the bowl (and beaters). Once I did that, everything else is great.

We own two of these kitchenaid mixers now and they are beasts - they work great and we use ours daily (baking) and we've had no problems with the mixer stands themselves. However, we have now gone through two whisk attachments (wire whisk wire broke off at collar both times). Othat than that they have been great. I only wish they were a bit quieter. They are loud and if your house is an open floor plan with the living room and kitchen are joined then it will be difficult to hear conversations and television in the living room with the kitchenaid going on in the background.

Was unable to order online for pick up at Sam's and still get a gift receipt. Had to "return it" for a refund and then re-buy it at the store. Eventually, I had to return that one because I got the wrong color initally. My fault. The product is excellent and Sam's offered extra utensils which I couldn't have gotten if purchased elsewhere. Price was reasonable and free delivery with Sam's premium account made it a no brainer. Mixer was very heavy and well made and arrived in good shape. It took one day longer than the order originally stated but in this case that didn't matter at all. I received notifications from Sam's to let me know what was happening.

I have had a basic KitchenAid mixer for 20 years, still works perfectly. But I couldn't pass up this amazing deal. I love having the lift and the 2nd bowl and extra whisk. I love this machine! Personally for me, it is not hard to attach either bowl or to make the lift work.

This is one 'beefy' unit! Takes a bit of getting used to if you've had less expensive stand mixers, and I haven't really begun to use it to capacity, but this works far better for tougher mixing jobs like dough. I especially like the way the head rotates, either mixing heavier dough, or simply whisking lighter materials. A nice 'plus' is the variety of attachments that can be added on as your needs change or as you become more confident trying new things, like homemade pasta. A very high-quality machine, and I'm very pleased with this purchase.

I received this as a gift a month ago. I have never been one to bake. Since I got this mixer and tried a few recipes I have gained confidence. The family loves what I am able to make, which makes us all happy. I can't wait to buy and try the ice cream attachment. Thanks Kitchenaid for a great mixer!

I bought the KitchenAid Professional Heavy-Duty Stand Mixer for my son and his wife for Christmas but they couldn't wait till Christmas to start using it. They love that it has ten speeds. It is easy to use and clean. They can make four times more batter or dough without worrying about the motor being over worked. The bread they made was tasty and their prep time was less than half the time it took before they got the KitchenAid. They love the color selection and got the color that matches their kitchen. They said they don't know how they ever managed without a mixer before. They would recommend this mixer to their friends and family. It is a must have tool to any baker. I've been saying I'm going to buy a kitchen aide for years. Especially Holidays since I do all of the baking. I finally bit the bullet. I love love love it. I chose the color red. Now all I have to do is keep my youngest daughter from stealing it from me.
