Decided to treat myself to a new one, and the first thing I discovered was that it was about a half-inch taller than my old one and therefore wouldn't fit underneath my cabinets. The shorter, rounder bowl allows ingredients to fly out during the mixing process. Had to revert to my old K5A for large quantity recipies.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband purchased this mixer to replace my 35 year old workhorse KitchenAid which was definitely showing its age. I like the wider bowl, the tool to clean the whisk and the additional shallow bowl included in this product. I hated saying goodbye to my old machine and was anticipating problems with the new one. I'm getting used a different sounding motor and the slight delay when starting (which was explained in the product guide). I'm hoping to many happy years using my new mixer.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've always wanted a stand mixer. Finally picked one up right before the holidays and it made the holiday cooking a breeze. Not only does it work great, it looks fabulous as well! My only issue is that the attachments don't touch the sides or bottom, therefore I have to hand mix the ingredients some, but at least I'm not hand mixing all if it.

I wish that I had made the purchase sooner, it makes everything so much easier and the Silver color is gorgeous. I could not be happier, don't put off getting one like I did.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this as a Christmas gift to myself. Have been wanting one for years. Have only made a few cakes, but it is so much easier than holding a hand mixer for long periods of time. Have also made meringue for pies and it is awesome!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had a Artisan Tilt mixer that a gave to my sister and got this Professional mixer. I thought I would like it better but I am still unsure. The tilt head feature on the Artisan is way easier to use than the up & down of the Professional which makes it hard to get the mixing attachments on and off. Plus the bowl is h ard to attach. I was pleased at how well it mixed my cookie dough. I will keep using to get used to it and maybe I will like it more. I am hoping they have a shield I can purchase for the bowl which will help as well.

We just finished renovations and I opened the box expecting a tilt top like I have at home. The bowl lift took some getting used to and I was very disappointed that the bowl scraping beater was not included. I needed it for the blueberry lemon coffee cake I first made with it. I must have that attachment and I want the ice cream maker which is out of stock.
