[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a 4.5 quart KitchenAid that has been going strong for 35+ years. This machine has a much better dough hook and the bowl handle is helpful. However, it frequently fails to start on first try and doesn't whip cream as well as my old one. I'm not sure the advantages were worth the cost.

I purchased 2 of these for my daughters, i had been shopping and comparing prices from numerous stores, then i saw this for Black Friday and i could order online for the Black Friday price..what a deal..and it even had a $50.00 dollar mail in rebate..made this a great Christmas for my daughters, they are just thrilled to finally have 1 of these Great machines in there houses for years to come.

I purchased this mixer for a weekly use making cookies and bread. The motor struggles to mix dough for bread and cookies. The high pitched sound of the motor is AWFUL. The paddle attachment and dough hook chipped by the 4th or 5th use. KA replaced the paddle, and the replacement chipped. I have a tilt head KA that is about 30 years old that works better and sounds better than this piece of junk. I've contacted KA. But it's not in warranty anymore....of course. If you choose to buy it...buy earplugs too. Save your money. **Notice that most of the 5 star reviews are for "promos""

I love the Pro Duty mixer we have at our restaurant and catering business and decided My home kitchen shouldn't be without one for family meals. The performance and power are excellent. Wish my new mixer had a splash guard but I will be shopping for one.

This is a quality mixer. Wish I could have had one when I cooked a lot of food for many people. I had no difficulty placing the order. The mixer arrived quickly and in good condition. The rebate form was not included, although the add stated it would be. I found the form online without too much difficulty and mailed it in. With the price offered by Sam's and the rebate, this machine was an incredibly good deal.

I bake a lot of cookies for people and I have one batch I make that is really thick and heavy. My old KitchenAid Artisan Mixer really struggled mixing this dough. When I saw the ad from Sam's Club for this HD mixer, I jumped at it. This was the mixer of my dreams! It arrived very fast from ordering it online and when I made my thick cookie dough it came through like a champ! I didn't even have to use the top speed to get it to mix completely. I am so happy I opened this email from Sam's Club on Thanksgiving day. This was the best purchase of a KitchenAid mixer I've ever made. I'll never need another mixer in my lifetime. And it's red!

Received this as a mother's day gift from children, I absolutely love it and the attachments and the extra bowl is a plus..I would love to have the paddle with the spatula but can't seem to find one that is compatible, any help would be appreciated...

This was a gift to my daughter in law who is an avid baker! She really is happy with the machine and says it lives up to all the great reviews of KitchenAid products. The bonus here was the savings. My son and I saved over $100 from other very similar KitchenAid mixer models at various stores near the Chicago land area.

We immediately searched prices for KitchenAid because of the positive comments I heard from family and friends. When I settled on the model and the price we agreed upon, we made the drive to buy ours. It has been helpful and used a lot since our purchase. My favorite points are:1. the ease of insertion and the stability of the beater AND 2. the quiet hum of the motor. This mixer has power and does not struggle with its task.

After four moves around the country, it was finally starting to leak oil, but otherwise worked fine. This new mixer is a little upgrade, but I love the dependability and features. Can't wait to really start baking with it!
