Excellent Product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This item was a replacement for a smaller food chopper I had for years. I love Kitchen Aid products, and I received this model as a GIFT. It is compact but powerful and comes apart very easily for cleaning.

No surprise - it's from Kitchen Aid

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The first few times I used the food chopper, it was a tussle to get it assembled correctly so that it would actually work. Tolerances and alignment are small and not really easy to master. But, once I did, I love the appliance. The unit is powerful, efficient and quiet for a small chopper. It has a couple of features that make it SOO useful. The pour spout means less salsa dripping down the cook's wrist, more in the serving bowl. And the small drizzle funnel in the lid is exceptional for adding oil to dressings and hummus. No more having to stop the chopper and remove a dripping lid to add oil. Chopped vegetables for a sofrito are nearly instant. Top marks for Kitchen Aid quality and design. I have a 9 year old Kitchen Aid blender that still works great, as well as a 15 year old Kitchen Aid stand mixer that still works perfectly. As good as it gets!

pour in lid for olive oil when making pesto.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This chopper replaced an old Sunbeam Oskar that stopped working. I use the chopper to chop up hard foods (egs, raw beets, carrots) and to puree soft foods -to make pesto and bluefish pate. This processor does both perfectly. I have also learned that I no longer need a grater. Have cut my knuckles on it too often. When I want some freshly grated romano cheese for pasta, I just cut up some small pieces of cheese, drop it in an pulse 3 or 4 times. Perfectly grated romano cheese!

The Little BIG Chopper

I love to cook and although we're only two at home, this "little" chopper does wonders by helping me chop so many ingredients for my recipes. If you're more than two in the household, I suggest you by the 5 cup chopper. Thank you KitchenAid for being an aid to all cooks in the kitchen for so many years. Keep up the good...excellent work!

Makes Life Easier!

I have owned this 7 years. It still works great, still looks great! I have given several for gifts. Everyone loves it! I grow a garden. This chopper gets a workout chopping onions to freeze. I used it to chop nuts, craisins, even frozen chocolate (mixed with some flour to keep it from mushing), peppers, pretty much anything that needs a good chop. There's an opening which is handy when drizzling oil in for homemade salad dressings. And cleanup is easy! It takes up very little cabinet real estate. This wonderful food chopper and my KitchenAid stand mixer are my two must-haves for my life. They make everything easier!

Great for smaller jobs

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I don't buy many kitchen appliances. I've had full size Cuisinarts for years and love them but this small but mighty Kitchen Aid chopper has become my go to for small jobs. Works so well and fits easily in a cabinet. So handy.

Dissapointed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This food processor has a beautiful design. I was excited to start using it. The first time I tried to make a blended salad dressing i it, I realized that the top does not close tight and while you spin your liquid that is only filing 1/3 of the container, the liquid spills everywhere, from the gap between the lid and the main container. I had to return it. Dissapointing.

Not what I would have expected from Kitchenaid.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this as a Christmas gift I liked my old Kitchenaid better. I find this one more difficult to put the cover on and take off. Within several seconds I have minced or pureed, when I want a larger chop.

Happy purchase

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this to replace my Oster. Honestly the big selling point was that it matched my Kitchenaid stand mixer. After receiving it and using it I'm so glad I purchased it. It works fantastically and is so easy to use. I 10 out of 10 recommend it.

Good but could be better.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The color is great, red, but getting the top on and positioning the plastic container is a bit of a challenge. I've had other mini processors before that were easier to operate. I've always been satisfied with Kitchen Aid products before; this one's operation design needs some fine tuning.
