Great tool

This is a great tool for the home canner since it peels and slices. Also the spirilizer is fun for all the zucchini and potatoes that need cooking. Very fast and useful

Love Thiis

This will sound crazy, but the main reason that I bought the mixer was for this attachment. We have been trying to substitute fruits and vegetables for meat in or main dishes. This tool really helps with that. I am very happy with this product.

The best spiralizer.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love this product. Comes in a very nice storage box. It comes with 2 different attachments for spiralizing and a corer, peeler. Very easy to use and it works great. If you have a kitchenaid mixer, this is worth every penny. Even better when on sale.

Completely Useless

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this in the hopes of spiralized butternut squash. After mushing through 5 of them, I gave up and made soup. Literally. It would spiralize for about 10 seconds, then just grind and mush into the stationary end, making it totally useless. So I tried zucchini, thinking maybe butternut was too hard? Nope. Same thing. Garbage.

New spiralizer owner

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love it! Gone are the days of recklessly making zoodles and cutting off finger tips. This attachment has made making zoodles so easy and much more enjoyable that inmadenthem 2x this week already! Very happy with the purchase. The attachments are easy to use and clean up is quick. Product is sturdy and we'll constructed.

Very disappointed

I bought this a year ago and didn't use until today. If I had it would be getting returned. I tried to spiralize yams and what a mess. Like others have said whatever you are spiralizing has to be the perfect size and shape. I had to send my husband to buy more because all they did was rotate on the spindle until they became loose and wouldn't even turn anymore. Peeling was even worse, practically useless. Then there is the waste of about a 3 inch chunk when I got it to work slightly better on one potato. It seems like the threads should go to the end so the entire vegetable would be used. I watched videos and cut my potatoes so they would fit better with no success. Total frustration. Not sure I want to even try anything else at this point. With all these complaints Kitchenaid needs to make a better product. How many yams have you seen that are completely uniform in size and shape? It shouldn't be this difficult to use your product. I'm exhausted!

Just doesn't work

I was so excited to get this product. I love my other Kitchen aid appliances. My husband has a wheat allergy and I have changed to a mostly veggie based diet. I have a manual spiralizer but I was looking forward to using the electric one. Unfortunately every time I try to spiralize butternut squash or sweet potatoes the skewer end just spins and turns the center to mush. I have tried different blades all with the same luck. I am very disappointed in this product's performance.

Easy and fun-fun-fun to use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the spiralizer so I could make my own zucchini noodles. Heck, I dropped 93 lbs and there's no way I want that back :) What I love about the spiralizer is that is typical Kitchenaid solid construction-like I can see it still here years from now. Easy to use, easy to clean, fun to run! Hope this review sheds some light for you, if not, I did a demo-enjoy :)

Spiralizer

I got this as a Christmas Gift. I was really excited. Unfortunately I have ruined over $75 worth of food trying to use it. I have tried apples, potatoes, zucchini, squash, pears, etc. none of them seem to come out right. They all start out great and then by about two turns the spiraling ND peeler just stop and the stopper at the end just ends up ruining and making my food mush. I have watched YouTube videos and ND read the instructions. I'm not sure of my problems are user error or defective product. The peeler is not the greatest either..sometimes it peels some times not.

Even My Husband Loves The Results from the Spiralizer!

I recently purchased a KitchenAid Mixer and decided to add a spiralizer to the purchase. I bake often, but find I use the spiralizer more than the actual mixer. What a wonderful attachment for someone who enjoys vegetables, but tires of the same old plain way I have fixed them for 51+ years of marriage. My husband's favorite are the thinly spiralized potatoes. The extra end piece looks like a mushroom and can be baked along with the thinner spiral pieces. The zucchini noodles, microwaved for 1.25 minutes, are perfect. I've added pesto and tomatoes to the noodles, and as a side dish, it is my favorite. You can easily experiment and find the right choices for blade thickness for you. It's a fun addition to my kitchen equipment, and friends have enjoyed watching me use it and also like my enthusiasm.
