I never knew I needed one and recieved one as a gift. I love it! It is so much fun to use. My sister in law used a plastic one when we visited recently, and it seemed hard to use. This one is a breeze! I have made zucchini , sweet potatoes, russet potatoes, and parsnips so far. My daughter in law borrowed it two weeks ago and now I want it back! Very pleased with this item.

Bought this not too long ago, used it once and it worked great. I tried it with sweet potatoes to make sweet potato fries and it worked very well. Couple things tho, the peeler option does not work very well if the food item isn't perfectly symmetrical. Also, you may need to cut food items in half because the width is only so large. Other than that, it works very well and am very happy I got it!

I bought this because we were trying to find new ways to use pesto without pasta. The idea of making zucchini noodles was intriguing. Not only does the Spiralizer make great zucchini noodles, KitchenAid has 78 pages of amazing recipes for other things to make. So now, I'm using it several times a week -- with sweet potatoes, white potatoes, carrots, turnips, kohlrabi, beets and apples. Peeling, coring and slicing apples with the Spiralizer has taken most of the work out of making an apple pie!

My husband gave me this for Christmas. It worked very well, but it took me a while to figure out how to work it properly. The instruction booklet was not well written. Most of the instructions and all the recipes were online. I found that to be very inconvenient. I don't have a computer my kitchen or tablet I could use in my kitchen. Because of this inconveniences I purchased and started using the cookbook "Inspiralized" by Ali Maffucci. Then it was a bit of a task to find the right blade that would work with her recipes. I eventually returned your spiralizer because it cost so much and I was having so much difficulties using it properly and purchased at a considerable saving Ali Maffucci's spiralizer. She also has a blog that I can get new recipes and a way to ask questions. Sorry Kitchenaid. For what my husband paid for your product I felt it was not worth my time and trouble.

I bought the corer, peeler, slicer spirelizer to process fruit and vegetables. I have arthritis and it became difficult to use my old hand crank appliance. I can process 10 pounds of apples for my food dryer very quickly. I also spiralizer vegetables for salads and makes a beautiful addition to my salads.

I've had a couple different sprializers prior to purchasing this one. I had one that you crank the handle. On that one the handle broke twice (including the extra handle that they sent). I had to use a lot of force to push the veggie through while turning the handle. plus it was messy. it was not really designed to fit a bowl under it to catch the product. I also had a smaller device where you hold the veggie in hand and feed it through the spiralizer while you turn. To maximize the amount of product, you hands have to get pretty close tot eh blade, which cause me to cut myself on several occasions. If you have a lot of veggies to spiralize, this device also gets exhausting. The Kitchenaid is efficient, and makes perfect noodles or onion rings, and it's easy to clean. I love that it peals and spiralizes all at once. It the veggie is not the same size all the way across, the whole veggie may not get pealed. Don't buy a veggie that is too long, because it may not fit and you will have to cut some of it off which increases the amount of unnecessary waste. Make sure to turn off the kitcheaid once you see that it cannot spiraize anymore of the veggie. You could break the blade it you are not watching to turn it off. So far, this is my favorite kitchenaid attachments and one of my favorite kitchen gadgets.

The spiralizer attachement some times is hard to make it work. the vegetables like zuchine, if is ripe wont work because it will brake, and the spiralizer wont turn. The piece that takes the fruit or the vegetable is to rigid and is hard some times to adapted to the vegetable or fruit. I may need more practice. Any way I love your products.

I have one the the hand cranked spiralizing gadgets and was fine with it. However, I am a KitchAid junkie. Just can't stay away from their attachments and am I glad I can't! Just love the Spiralizer! It makes life easier just to be able to let the KitchAid do all the work and I get the credit. Made a zucchini pasta...beautiful. An apple pie.....amazing. Curly onion rings....genius. Tonight, curly potato fries...cannot wait. I am beyond pleased, thrilled with my purchase and cannot think of things fast enough to spiralize.

I am an avid KitchenAid fan. I have always found the products to be excellent quality, so when I heard you were coming out with a spiralizer, I was eagerly awaiting its arrival on the market. The first time I used it, it worked fine for the first 5 minutes. Then the peeler fell off and when I tried to fix it, I realized it had broken and was unfixable. I went on line and was disappointed to discover all of the negative reviews for this product for the same reason. I hope you have gone back to the drawing board so I can try again.

I've been trying to find a decent "spiralizer" for the past couple years and every single device and contraption I have purchased has failed miserably. I resisted getting the Kitchen Aid 5 blade Spiralizer set because of the price, but, WOW! This is so easy to set-up, put on your fruit or veggie, hit the power and Ta Da! Perfect spirals or slices! Yes, it is that easy. I am VERY pleased with the performance of this item!
