so versatile!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband bought me this for Christmas and I am so pleased with it! I use it multiple times a week for various items. I can make curly fries or sweet potato fries in minutes and I don't mind peeling apples for my daughter anymore. She loves the spirals that it makes out of her apples! It's super easy to clean and store. My sister was looking into a handheld spiralizer for around the same price so I recommended this to her and she loves hers too!

Great product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really have enjoyed being able to make my own veggy noodles. I wish it was bit longer so I would have less cutting and prep work. When using it for the veggy noodles make sure to leave the ends on to get the most from your veggy.

So easy to use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This makes the process of spiralizing easy and fun. I wish we could put longer pieces in it, but usually I have to cut my zucchini in half to make them shorter to fit. Otherwise it is a great piece of equipment.

Great tool

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Slices and peels apples beautifully howeverI do think it will take a bit of time to be able to get the most out of it. The first Apple came ou perfectly but then I had problems getting the whole Apple peeled and sliced. Have only used once so far so I have looked at videos to determine what changes I need to get the whole apple peeled and sliced.t

Excited to make peeling apples easier

I purchased this several years ago and it worked pretty good until yesterday. The part that works itself along the bar stopped working. All it did was sit in place and kept clicking not moving. It appears the bar seems to be loose and the back bar that the attachment sits on doesn't move easily it seems to stick.

It Just Works

Went out and bought this the same day I saw a video review of it. This is a product that does exactly what it says it will. I have owned several of the popular Paderno spiralizer's, they don't last under constant use. This is made of heavy duty aluminum. First thing I did was several russet potatoes for HASSELBACK potatoes. Next did several apples peeling while slicing. Both were perfect. Then moved on to some zucchini both slices and threads. moved on to some hard/firm veggies, first some beets, daikon radish, carrots, in every instance it just worked. I'm a professional chef, I see myself using this at home almost every day. If one of these was available for my counter top mixer at work, i would buy it tomorrow. Its perfect for preparing fruits & vegetables for side dishes, salads & desserts. If your on a Raw Food Diet, and you have a stand mixer, this is a must. By far this is the best accessory I have purchased for my stand mixer yet, & I have almost all of them. Run, don't walk and get out and buy this accessory.

Great invention, I may need some lessons

This newest attachment for my Kitchenaid Mixer arrived on Friday and I quickly unpacked and set it up. So grateful for the ease of setup and use instructions. I make curly Butternut Squash with fresh sage and blue cheese for dinner and curly sweet potatoes for me, Russet potatoes for the boys for breakfast on Sat. But, when I went to prepare more Butternut Squash for company on Sunday, it did just what another commenter said. The part that holds the vegetable, just swirled inside the squash and made a big mess. I had tried the peeling attachment this time instead of pre-peeling and that too, did not work on this Butternut. It may be that the core of the squash was too soft but I couldn't tell that before loading it on the attachment. I am fine with the core that gets left from the center as I just cut that and cook it as well but there is about 1/2 inch of vegetable at the end that doesn't get spiralized or cored. Wonder if there is a trick to having it all spiralize? I love Kitchenaid products and have many attachments, I am sure there is a solution for being successful every time. I would recommend this to a friend after I learn how to use it well but not at this time.

It works really well

I only recently learned about this new spiralizer attachment, which seemed a potentially good kitchen tool for holiday dinners. So I got one yesterday from a local retailer, and wanted to immediately try it without waiting. First thing I attempted was 1-step peeling, coring and spiralizing of an apple. The initial attempt was perfect. I really expected it would take several tries to get the hang of it, but no, the results were everything I hoped. The operation is very easy & simple. Then I took the spiraled apple, held it upright on a board and quartered it with a knife. Produced precisely even slices, that should be just right for making an apple pie, as I had seen in the TV demonstration that first got me interested in buying one. Guess what I'll be baking starting this weekend? I'll be able to prepare enough apples for several pies in a matter of minutes, without the usual tedious manual prep. I spriraled and peeled a few other things, just to experiment and learn what all the blades do. Total success every try. I think KitchenAid has a winner with this attachment, and I recommend it to stand mixer owners.

Spiralizer with peel, core and slice

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this attachment because of the spiralizer feature. It worked great for softer vegetables, like zucchini, yellow squash, onions and white potatoes. However, when I tried a sweet potato the potato stopped spinning and the blade continued to push on the potato bending the blade back. Had I not been watching , the blade would have been ruined. I will never put any hard vegetable on it again! Also the whole attachment moves as it is working and it's on as tight as it will go. I do like it for everything else and I would recommend it for the softer vegetables, it works great for them.

Love this!

I bought the spiralizer attachment as a Christmas gift to myself. Finally got it out tonight. I used the fine blade on one large russet - deepfried and made a mayo based dipping sauce. Along with the sandwiches I made - great weeknight meal. Will be telling my fellow foodies at work about this, tomorrow!
