I really liked this can opener but this was a warranty replacement . The magnet assembly that holds the lid fell out of its setting. So, I will have to reserve judgement until I see how long this one lasts. I will say the customer service was outstanding.

I give this a 3/5 only because of the short time I have used it (about 1 month). It has preformed great. The proof will be how it lasts over the years. Our previous electric can opener, a B&D, lasted 11 yrs before it gave out. I purchased Cuisinart as our last Cuisinart product, a pod coffee maker, lasted 12 years before its water pump no longer gave a full cup. I have replaced it with a similar Cuisinart product. So time will tell if Cuisinart's can opener is as good a product as its coffee maker.

I have never been disappointed in any Cuisinart product that I have purchased. I have only used this can opener a couple of times, thus, I have only given a four star rating, because I would like to see how it performs in the long run. The unit is attractive and heavier than a lot of cheaper brands on the market, so it doesn't tip over from the weight of the average can. Since a lot of cans come with pull tabs now, I don't have as much use for a counter-top opener as I have in the past. However, sometimes those pull tabs break, and sometimes I have a lot of cans to open, so the little battery units get tiresome to use. Overall, a great looking, high-quality, can opener.

This is a good-looking device but expensive for a can opener. I find that it's sometimes hard to position a can so it aligns with the cutting blade. The cheap can opener I had previously did a better job. One feature that I like is that the opener holds the can in place once it starts to open.

I was disappointed with the money I spent on this can opener, that it does not open large cans. It’s also difficult to hold any can in place while opening. I went out purposely to purchase a top of the line can opener, but it turns out I got just a shiny kitchen display item.

This can opener is excellent and well worth the price! I especially like the way it cuts the can top, kind of scalloping it so it is much safer to hold than "ordinary" can openers. And it is so easy to insert the can and get it started. A very nice find!

I have many cuisinart products and love them. This can opener is disappointing because the magnet sometimes does not hold a can of tuna after cutting the tin open. Additionally, when opening a large can, it requires multiple attempts to get the blade successfully into the top for opening. I don’t know if these are design flaws or just this specific can opener but it is annoying.

I have had several different types of can opener in my life time. This is the first cuisinart opener I’ve owned. By far this product is much more reliable and much more superior than any of the others. I like that I can oper the tall cans as well, with no problem.

I have many other can openers In the past most of them broke or did not last long. I have read pros and cons about Cuisinart opener , I decided to buy one and It was the best opener so far lt looked very well built and easy to clean, I have used this opener all most every day without any problems what’s so ever. I recommend Cuisinart opener to every one.

It doesn't work correctly. 2 stars is for the look and feel only. My sister had this and I thought it was beautiful. Even though my other opener was fairly new, I had to have this one. However, it doesn't operate the way it was meant to. In other words, we have to continue to push the lever back with our thumb or it won't work. When you release the pressure, it stops. For the high price, it should have been more reliable. Either I have a bad one (misaligned) or it is a design flaw. I never sent it back and now the warranty is expired. Wish now I had at least tried get it repaired or replaced.
