I received this product in exchange for my unbiased opinion I was very happy with this entire product. It was quickly and easy to set up. It is a sleek design that would blend well with any environment. It was easy to set up, the instructions were clear. I was able to set it up quickly and use it immediately. Having the option to use cards with a chip and/or contactless payments is great. I don`t use either of those much (yet), but it`s nice to have the option to use them. I am sure I will be using it more in the near future. This is well made and very sturdy. It looks like it will take the day-to-day wear and tear that one would expect from something sitting out for customer contact. If I could change anything, I`d like to have a height adjustable stand, so a customer could raise or lower it as needed (especially for tall people). Or maybe I just need higher counters. Overall very happy with this product. I am happy with this and customers have made positive comments about it being easy to use.

The device accepts credit and debit cards. The process of using this device excites consumers because it provides new ways to purchase things. Accessibility the device accepts EMV and NFC technologies. EMV makes transactions less risky with the EMV chip. Negatives Usability The device requires separate device for accepting magstripe cards. It has no magstripe reader. I wish that it also accepted magstripe cards. A magnetic reader is not included.

I received this product in exchange for my unbiased opinion. i found this product processed my transactions quickly and efficiently, offering three different options to pay with debit/credit cards. I thought it was easy to use; both for the customer and myself. Customers who used their phones really loved it. I`d have to say my favorite feature was the small footprint of such a versatile machine. It is sleek and chic! Opening the shipping box, I was stuck on how neat and compact it all was. The pieces are all easy to unpack with little waste. The pieces were very easy to assemble, following clear easy-to-read instructions with very detailed diagrams to support the steps. I like using this system more than others I've had in the past because it is cool, looks great, processes payments quickly (with options) and has a smaller footprint on my counter-top. Being an Apple product I had high expectations on ease of use and style, to which I wasn't disappointed. From the packaging to the different pieces of the system, it all is cohesive, intuitive and sleek as well as easy for both end users, the customer and the cashier. The only recommendation I would make is to address the power cutting in and out on the card reader sometimes....is it a wire connection issue? My over impression is that this is a system I will continue to use and would recommend. It is a powerful tool in processing and tracking sales.

I received this product in exchange for my unbiased opinion. Regarding the initial installation, there was not much to set up other than attaching my iPad to the stand. I did find it difficult to attach the iPad, as the instructions indicated to slide the iPad in sideways, but the border of the framed square stand did not allow for it to slide in as simply as pictured. However, there was otherwise not much else to set up, so once that was done, the rest of the process was easy and manageable. A small pin on the headphone jack, along with the lightning charging connector holds the iPad securely into the stand. The power adapter and Square reader were easy to install following the instructions. Assembly was minimal. I chose to use the adhesive mount for the stand, which was a simple peel and stick adhesive attached to a plate at the bottom of the stand. The adhesive mounting method still allowed for full use of the swivel feature for the stand, which allowed me to turn the stand back and forth between facing me and fasting customers. In terms of making payments, the entire set up made this extremely easy. The ability to accept virtual phone payments with a simple tap, as well as options for customers to insert their chips themselves or for me to swipe their cards on the stand on my side made it easy and gave a variety of payment options. The clean cut design allows for good usability without interfering with other design aspects of my space. The device did not take up much room and the swivel aspect of the stand allowed for even less room to be necessary in order to set up and use the payment methods. In terms of quality, the stand is well-built and sturdy without being too heavy or bulky. The white did not match my space, but did not look out of place either. A variety of finishes or colors would be great - black and metal tones would definitely help it blend more with different set ups. I am concerned that the white will show wear sooner than other colors, but so far it has held up well. Another suggestion would be to have the chip reader/contactless Square reader somehow built in to the main stand, so that there is only one piece as opposed to two. However, this was not a defining characteristic and did not interfere with general usability - simple a personal design preference. Overall, the product`s simple set up and minimalistic design were extremely functional and streamlined the payment process. My favorite feature was the swivel stand, which allows for less movement and more stability with the device without sacrificing accessibility to the client or customer. I have not used many more similar products that offer these features, but I don`t anticipate having to try any more since having used the Square stand.

As a small business we needed an additional method to accept payments from customers that didn't take up a lot of space and one that was easy to use and transport and use. This product did just that and we were able to use the iPad already in the company`s inventory. The product created more space and accepted payments quickly and easily. My favorite feature of the product was the ease at which we were able to accept payment with the swipe. The overall instructions for setting up the equipment were clear but they gave no indication that we would have to have an iPad for it to work. The instructions on configuration were so vague that they were difficult to follow. We configured the system by trial and error. The product was easy to assemble. I was not prepared for all of the wires but the directions were easy to follow. Comparison: This product in comparison with other products we use to accept payment was more innovative and fancy. It was easy to use when it came to swiping but it was bulkier than the smaller attachments used to attach to cellular phones when we were out in the field but we received higher esteems, better looks and more compliments when customers saw the machine. This product exceeded my expectations when it came to quality but I expected it to be an all-in-one. The only improvements I would suggest is making it an all-in-one with less wires and be more competitive in the percentage taken from each transaction. My overall impression of the product was a thumbs up. The small things like wiring can always be improved but I realize some establishments need those long cables and cords because of where their stands will be located as opposed to an outlet.

I was looking for a supplemental transaction device to increase revenue in my business that did not take up a lot of space and was easy to use. I found what I was looking for after trying out the square stand with contactless and chip reader. It required minimal space on my desk and was simple to carry every time I used it. Overall, the square reader was a breeze to assemble and setup was straightforward. The most difficult part was keeping track of it if it was used in multiple sections of our store and this only happened if it wasn’t returned to its hub after each use. The instructions take you step by step through the process of setting it up once you’re ready to put it to use, starting with downloading the app and entering the business account and banking information. Assembly can easily be done by a single person. The reader posed no issues for us here. Our device fit like a glove and was up and running within minutes. My only major complaint, somewhat minor, with the square reader is that it took a few tries the first time using it before it was up and running smoothly as well as the service cost for transactions. The price of the square reader is very reasonable. Especially if you’re looking for an alternative and convenient method to increase sales in your business. The price of transactions made using the device is a bit on the high side in my opinion depending on purchase amounts but all in all it was not a deterrent.

i received this product in exchange for my unbiased opinion. This product was a great product. It worked perfectly with the square app. It was very easy to setup, operate and carry. The contactless chip reader worked pretty well, it was 100% reliable for running chip cards. This chip reader links to either of my square app devices​ via Bluetooth with no problem. The device displays the reader`s status, shows `processing` when you put in the customer`s card.The Square stand is very durable. the quality of the base is awesome. However, my only issue with it is that it`s heavier than it looks. It holds an ipad pretty well.The device can swipe a card in either direction, as there are two sensor heads, one on each side of the card slot. The card slot is much easier to use and reads reliably. Overall, I think it`s a great product. It`s easy to install, it`s fast, and it`s reliable. It also looks professional in your place of business. Square overall as a company does a really good job at credit card processing devices. In my experience, they are faster and more reliable than most other providers.
