Be careful because square can just cancel your account with them without any notice what so ever leaving you with no way to take credit cards. It happened to me at my business on a Friday night around 5pm. Once they cancel your account they send you an email and refuse to talk to you on the phone at all, you can not make it past the automated service once account has be cancel. It took me about a week to get another merchant service and get everything up and running to where I could take credit cards again. Cost me probably $5,000 in lost revenue. Buyer beware!

Using the Square Stand with contactless chip allows us to have a stationary place to complete transactions. The customer can see the stand and there's no confusion as to with whom and where the transaction will take place. I love the sleek design of the stand and that it's not heavy. I have a herniated disk in my back but I'm able to pick up the Square Stand and transport it with no issues. My Husband is not computer savvy but he read the instructions and now he's able to operate the device with no assistance from me which frees up time for me to interact with the customers. Overall, we are very pleased with the device. I think the most important thing is to read the instructions. You can't just assemble it and start going. To ensure you've setup correctly and you're not frustrated later, read the instructions to setup and get started. It's easy after that. We love it. It's made our customer experience better and we're able to process transactions in a timely manner..

I received this product in exchange for my unbiased opinion. I was able to use this square set up at local show events as a vendor. It’s very easy to set up. I was able to load all my product information with pricing. The square stand and chip reader hold a charge for a full day show. It would be nice if the chip reader was not hard wired when using it without electricity at a show . It just makes for extra unesssary cords on your table. The stand as well as the reader have a nice weight to them which keeps them very stable when a customer is signing for a purchase. The iPad fits very securely in the stand. Really enjoyed using the square stand and chip reader.

With the chip reader, I was able to increase my sales without having the limit of cash only payments. Inside my actual business, the stand made me look more professional and my customers appreciated my professionalism and new look. One of the features that was a positive upgrade to my business was the email invoicing. Using the square features made it possible to send invoices online and offer my customers a secure way to pay. I received this product in exchange for my unbiased opinion. I use this product for my hair salon. I had the small square reader that plugs into the cell phone initially. Upon first inspection of the setup I was very impressed! Extremely simple to interact and get it setup with my smart phone, took less than 5 minutes. The look and feel of the actual components were beyond what I was expecting in regards to the size, feel, durability, and most importantly the presentation ability. This item came easily packaged with 3 total part to put together. This new Reader is so convenient because it removed an issue I had with the former Square (the need to re-swipe). Because I use an iphone 7, an adapted was necessary with the former Square, but not the Contactless Chip Reader! The Square contactless and chip reader allows me to be more modern than stores taking chip cards, tap to pay as well as traditional swipe. The stand face hold is helping when moving back and forth. It made for a quick and easy transaction, allowing customer to sign right in them moment. The reader is perfect for everyday use and the fact they have added Apple and Android pay makes it even bette!

It doesn`t take up much room and it is very convenient to have. It arrived in a small/medium sized package box in which it was snuggly secured inside. Although I understand the need for the snug ft and extra cushion surrounding the actual product, it made it very hard to open and retrieving the actual product out of the box was harder than setting up and installing the product. However, once I was able to get the product out of the box, installation and setup was a breeze. The product didn`t require many steps and was very straight forward in its directions. The stand itself isn`t bulky and you need minimal counter or stand space to place the product. The stand is well made and very sturdy. My iPad fit without any hassle. I was able to setup my information in about ten minutes or less. Also, my first transaction was effortless. I was extremely surprised at how swift the payment process was. I am defiantly happy with the results and the product itself. The only problems or recommendations I have for the product is the packaging (the difficulties of actually removing the product), the cord, and the lack of the mag stripe reader. As I stated before, it was very difficult to get the box open to retrieve the actual product. I had a male helping me and it was still a struggle. The cords are not that big of a deal, but they are a little long, so if you do not have the proper positioning it can become annoying with the extra length hanging around. Lastly, this product did not include the mag stripe reader (to attach and use your cellular device to take payments). The reader and another product was offered to purchase separately at some point during setup. I did not [purchase the other product but I did order the mag stripe as it was a free product. It is currently being shipped to me. So, even though it wasn`t included with this product, it was free of charge. Overall, this product is definitely worth the purchase. The ease of assembly and setup mixed with the swiftness of payment processing definitely makes it an overall worthwhile purchase!

I will start by stating what the Square Stand with Contactless + Chip Reader product does well is make taking customers payments so much more easy, plus it’s so easy to use. Accepting payments now is hassle free because it’s so quick and secure to read the credit card information. It feels secure and customers all seem to trust us and like how quick the process went. Being able to customize products and the fact that the product is wireless is the best, it does not pause of freeze while in the middle of taking care of a customer. The instructions to the Square Stand with Contactless + Chip Reader where very clear and easy to understand I had no problems with the instructions, and going to the website is super helpful as well. It arrived with beautiful packaging and sufficient instructions. I LOVED the look of the packaging when it arrived. It's very fast, yet simple to setup, and it's attractive when the lights blink letting you know certain message for use. Like a blink of the eye to check a customer out. Simply insert the customer card or hold the phone near the device and CHARGE, sign and DONE! Other products are pricer and can be bigger from what I have notice. Not only is the sleek look and feel of this item very attractive and nice looking, the quality is fabulous. I would rate is in the top tier of it's league as far as quality. I was able to start charging the very same day I received the product. As far as improvement perhaps customer service support, it's always a huge bonus and the fact that full functionality is not available on the app which means you have to go online to your website and view your dash-board to access features like adding inventory amounts and creating pickup orders It's always best to make room for improvements, but I don't see anything right now other than what I mentioned. I received this product in exchange for my unbiased opinion I was very happy with this entire product. It was quickly and easy to set up. It is a sleek design that would blend well with any environment. It was easy to set up, the instructions were clear. I was able to set it up quickly and use it immediately. Having the option to use cards with a chip and/or contactless payments is great. I don`t use either of those much (yet), but it`s nice to have the option to use them. I am sure I will be using it more in the near future. This is well made and very sturdy. It looks like it will take the day-to-day wear and tear that one would expect from something sitting out for customer contact. If I could change anything, I`d like to have a height adjustable stand, so a customer could raise or lower it as needed (especially for tall people). Or maybe I just need higher counters. Overall very happy with this product. I am happy with this and customers have made positive comments about it being easy to use.

I received this product in exchange for my unbiased opinion. Regarding the initial installation, there was not much to set up other than attaching my iPad to the stand. I did find it difficult to attach the iPad, as the instructions indicated to slide the iPad in sideways, but the border of the framed square stand did not allow for it to slide in as simply as pictured. However, there was otherwise not much else to set up, so once that was done, the rest of the process was easy and manageable. A small pin on the headphone jack, along with the lightning charging connector holds the iPad securely into the stand. The power adapter and Square reader were easy to install following the instructions. Assembly was minimal. I chose to use the adhesive mount for the stand, which was a simple peel and stick adhesive attached to a plate at the bottom of the stand. The adhesive mounting method still allowed for full use of the swivel feature for the stand, which allowed me to turn the stand back and forth between facing me and fasting customers. In terms of making payments, the entire set up made this extremely easy. The ability to accept virtual phone payments with a simple tap, as well as options for customers to insert their chips themselves or for me to swipe their cards on the stand on my side made it easy and gave a variety of payment options. The clean cut design allows for good usability without interfering with other design aspects of my space. The device did not take up much room and the swivel aspect of the stand allowed for even less room to be necessary in order to set up and use the payment methods. In terms of quality, the stand is well-built and sturdy without being too heavy or bulky. The white did not match my space, but did not look out of place either. A variety of finishes or colors would be great - black and metal tones would definitely help it blend more with different set ups. I am concerned that the white will show wear sooner than other colors, but so far it has held up well. Another suggestion would be to have the chip reader/contactless Square reader somehow built in to the main stand, so that there is only one piece as opposed to two. However, this was not a defining characteristic and did not interfere with general usability - simple a personal design preference. Overall, the product`s simple set up and minimalistic design were extremely functional and streamlined the payment process. My favorite feature was the swivel stand, which allows for less movement and more stability with the device without sacrificing accessibility to the client or customer. I have not used many more similar products that offer these features, but I don`t anticipate having to try any more since having used the Square stand.

It has no magstripe reader. I wish that it also accepted magstripe cards. A magnetic reader is not included.
