I much prefer a softer, easier to bite jerky. My son thought that it was too dry. We both thought that the flavor was OK - nothing special. I asked him if he'd buy it and he said if it was a good price he would, but he wouldn't if it were the same price as others.

I try to avoid nasty additives in my family's diet whenever possible. Procesed meats often contain ingredients that I try to avoid, so I love that Country Archer brand is free of nitrites, nitrates, preservatives, MSG, antibiotics or added hormones.
