I chose this plant based proteins because I get a severe allergic reaction to whey powder protein. I've tried all different brands and it does not matter, same reaction. I wanted to try a protein supplement that didn't involve Whey. I gave this stuff a shot and it was different to get used to. I wouldn't recommend mixing it with dairy milk because you get a real chalky taste. Mixing with dairy milk with fruits and peanut butter can help with the chalky taste but just a little bit. It does recommend to mix it with almond milk which really helps with the "bitter" or chalky taste. Now I personally use oat milk, peanut butter, bananas and some other fruits and I don't taste a bit of bitterness or chalky after tastes. Whey protein is more used to build muscle mass. This stuff can be used to build muscle but you have to work harder to do so. I like the chocolate better than the vanilla, but that's just me. This brand does make different flavors rather than the traditional chocolate/vanilla, so for people who gave this a band review could maybe try the other to see if you like it. Make sure you mix thoroughly. Using the bottles with the mixing ball doesn't work all that well unless you plan to shake the bottle for 10 minutes or so, and I wouldn't do it lightly. Best mixed in a blender. I really like this protein powder and I recommend it if anyone is try to steer clear of whey or wanting to get on something plant based.

I love the Vanilla and Chocolate Protein Powders! I mix both with Mocha Light Iced Coffee around noon every day (must have Iced Coffee!) and ice. With my new blender, it makes the smoothest, creamiest, best tasting protein shakes ever! Been using these powders for 1 year and weight is coming off slowly, just how I wanted. I have more energy in the afternoon and never hungry until dinnertime. I have added Pure Vanilla to the Vanilla mix and it is yummy.

I was looking for a protein powder that didn't have dairy or soy due to intolerance/allergy. I like the chocolate-y ones, the vanilla was too pea forward for me. It's mostly for after late night sports practices/workouts. It's still protein powder, so it's a bit gritty, and tastes good enough.

I'm diabetic and I love chocolate 'shakes' for breakfast. I used to do carnation instant breakfast with frozen bananas and strawberries, but my blood sugar didn't like that much. I tried this with my frozen fruit and almond milk and it is so good and my blood sugar does really well with it. It's kinda pricey, but if my blood sugar does good, it's worth it.
