the ease of putting this frame together was just great. I tried to put together a adjustable frame together an fought for 2 hours and failed. took it back and ordered yours. Got it and 10 minutes later I was done my wife and just love it thanks for making it so easy

I must say I was amazed at the total comfort for the price. When I first received my mattress I hadn’t purchased the frame. I felt that I needed to add the right frame for the mattress, so I purchased the 18” SmartBase frame, so glad I did. The bed sits high off the floor which leaves plenty of storage underneath. The bed feels more supportive with this frame. I love the mattress, I thought it felt to soft but then you get into bed and it’s perfect, cradling you in pure bliss.

Before we bought this bed I read many reviews. Since most were good and we knew a family member had purchased we decided to go for it. Our current bed was only 5 years old but leaving us waking up every morning achy and not well rested. So many people said how wonderful this bed was in their reviews. I’ll be honest. I was afraid to believe it. Now I am here to tell you that I have woke up every single morning with zero body aches. I have fibromyalgia and osteoarthritis. My husband has a back injury from the army and feels great in the mornings. He has dubbed this “super bed” and said he sleeps so well that he can go on fewer hours now. I still like getting 8 hours! We bought the king size (our first) in the 10inch depth. We also bought the premium 18” foundation. We have had our bed about 3 weeks now and while I didn’t want to believe it could be as good as everyone was saying, I have to tell you it really is! It is better than I believed! Make sure you follow all of the directions for set up and you won’t be disappointed.

As the title says, the installation was a cinch, the height is great for under bed storage and the frame supports our Purple mattress very nicely. My only complaint is that once you have a mattress on the frame, it is not structurally sound enough to be able to move it. Even if two people were to pick it up from each end, you would not be able to move it without straining the middle part that connects the two main pieces together. So whenever you want to move the bed, you have to remove the mattress first. Other than that, I have no complaints. If you're using a Purple mattress, I recommend placing flattened moving boxes in between the frame and the mattress for additional support.

My first impression of the Gene Metal Deluxe 16 Inch SmartBase Frame before putting it together, it seemed like it would be flimsy. The metal pieces are not heavy. After putting it together, it still seemed like it would not be that sturdy. I like the overall look of the frame. After placing the mattress on the frame it seemed like it was better. I still feel that it is not a top quality frame bed. It can easily move or shift with the mattress on it. Once the bedding, headboard and all the pillows are on the bed, it looks good. I do not think it shifts once sleeping in the bed. However, it will shift when trying to make the bed. The height of the bed lends itself to putting storage underneath. This is a great feature of the bed frame to be able to store additional items in storage containers that can be pulled out as needed.

My initial impression of this mattress was "the best mattress I've ever slept on", it was the most comfortable mattress I've ever slept on, it was soft and cushiony, it was a dream come true, even my mom and sister were thinking about buying one(depending on how well it held up) I looked forward to sleeping on it every day, even when you sit on it it had that marshmallow soft feel to it, It curves with your body for a relaxing and comfortable feeling, seriously it felt like heaven, it did not sink too deep it wasn't hard, it was just perfect. The first two weeks I woke up, feeling refreshed I had zero lower back pain, but unfortunately, after two weeks, it is now hard as a rock, that marshmallow feeling is gone it does not feel like a memory foam at all, it barely sinks when I sit on it, it's become a pain, this is not a mattress I look forward to sleeping on everyday. I honestly don't know what happened to the memory foam feel it had, why is the mattress so hard now? I will still look into returning this mattress even if it's a hassle, hopefully Zinus will make better mattresses in the future.

I started researching memory foam mattresses, because I was recently diagnosed with a chronic illness that causes global pain issues, and finding a comfortable position to sleep in had become impossible. My computer is smarter than me, noticed I was doing a lot of memory foam mattress searches, and threw me a Zinus ad when I was reading Yahoo. Thank you computer! I ordered the 18" steel bed frame - easy to set up, and the perfect height for storage underneath. The frame arrived on a Friday, and the shipment was marked online as "delivered"... but no mattress! A quick call to the shipper (Can't remember if it was FedEx or UPS) confirmed that the frame & mattress shipped separately, and the mattress was on its way. My mattress is a 14" cool gel memory foam (full size). Setting it up was a challenge (I live alone 75% of the time, so no one to help), but I gotta say watching the mattress decompress was one of the funniest/most entertaining things I've seen in a while. I wish someone had been with me to take a video! It started expanding the second I cut into the vacuum-sealed plastic, and was almost completely expanded by the time I finished cutting the plastic off. It went from pancake to POOF! in less than 10 minutes! It's also very comfortable to sleep on. When I lay down I can initially feel all of the pain points (neck, shoulders, elbows, hips, knees), but after a minute or two my brain goes "ohhhh... this is what support feels like" and I can relax enough to sleep. I'm already budgeting to replace the mattresses in the rest of the house with Zinus!

I absolutely love my Zinus smartbase bedframe. I live on the 4th floor and was able to haul it all the way up the stairs (light enough to carry but still so durable!). So easy to put together too! I have a small apartment, so I was looking for a bedframe that had space underneath, and this was just perfect!

Once I received my 18 inch smart base I was a little skeptical . Because it didn't look strong enough to me . But I was surprised by the strength of it . I like how it brings more height to my mattress and plenty of storage underneath . sometimes I find myself just looking underneath to make sure it's ok . Excellent work and it doesn't make any noise . Thank you so much and I am impressed by you workmanship and your 5 yr warranty . You definitely have manufactured a excellent product . I typically like my bed to sit high especially because I have a very high window near me. I love that it doesn't squeak at all or move around. My last bed frame started squeaking after a couple of weeks. I've had it for two weeks so far and all is well! The assembling part was a bit longer than I expected. Some of the hooks were very stubborn and did not want to clip on to the bolt but after a couple of tries I got it.
