This frame is wonderful! We live in a small house and storage is always a problem. Our new bed frame has so much room underneath for storage. I love how tall the bed is for allowing this extra storage and also how nice if feels to sleep higher up! Also, our existing mattress, which we like very much, feels even better with such a great foundation! It came in a box and was easy to setup. My 12 year old son and his 10 year old friend set the bed frame up in a few minutes. I may buy another frame for my kids to use in their rooms. These are perfect frames for all ages!

My initial impression of this mattress was "the best mattress I've ever slept on", it was the most comfortable mattress I've ever slept on, it was soft and cushiony, it was a dream come true, even my mom and sister were thinking about buying one(depending on how well it held up) I looked forward to sleeping on it every day, even when you sit on it it had that marshmallow soft feel to it, It curves with your body for a relaxing and comfortable feeling, seriously it felt like heaven, it did not sink too deep it wasn't hard, it was just perfect. The first two weeks I woke up, feeling refreshed I had zero lower back pain, but unfortunately, after two weeks, it is now hard as a rock, that marshmallow feeling is gone it does not feel like a memory foam at all, it barely sinks when I sit on it, it's become a pain, this is not a mattress I look forward to sleeping on everyday. I honestly don't know what happened to the memory foam feel it had, why is the mattress so hard now? I will still look into returning this mattress even if it's a hassle, hopefully Zinus will make better mattresses in the future.

This is our 5th Zinus mattress foundation purchase and we do think they're primary function is to help solve storage issues. And for that, they are superior. I just wish that before people make the purchase that there is some honest communication between manufacturer and buyers that this foundation will make your current mattress more firm. It does take a few nights to get used to. We had a firm mattress to begin with, and now it is very very firm. But we are still very glad with our purchase and obviously with 5 of the frames now in our home, much more pleased with how much extra storage area they have provided.

I must say I was amazed at the total comfort for the price. When I first received my mattress I hadn’t purchased the frame. I felt that I needed to add the right frame for the mattress, so I purchased the 18” SmartBase frame, so glad I did. The bed sits high off the floor which leaves plenty of storage underneath. The bed feels more supportive with this frame. I love the mattress, I thought it felt to soft but then you get into bed and it’s perfect, cradling you in pure bliss.

Even though I like my bed, the smell has not left my room and it has been about 2 weeks. I aired out my room on numerous occasions and I don't know why it's not gone. ALSO, I paid for a 12" and it only increased to 11". I don't know if that's on the people who measure the bed before it goes out but I documented it and I even measured it myself twice and I lost an inch I paid for. Other than that, the bed is great.

Bottom-Line-Up-Front: 4.8-5 very satisfied, young professional. I bought this for two reasons; the extra clearance underneath and to replace my Ikea Malm (pressed-wood frame) that was damaged in the Ellicott City flood in July 2016. Set-up is a tool-less breeze and this frame is silent. That is probably a result of how sturdy it is. I'm not sure if it is perfect, however, it seems perfect for my needs. The frame is tall enough that I can very easily vacuum underneath of it with my full size Shark Navigator. Two very small gripes which make this a 4.8-5.0. If you order on Amazon it does not come with the grip mats, but it is not advertised with them there like it is on Zinus' website, so I did not actually remove a star. And two, there was minor damage to a small plastic end-cap on one of the frame-halves I am certain that it is not a manufacturing/industrial material issue and only a result of shipping. Packaging is noticeably simple, which I greatly appreciate not paying for boxes and plastic I intended on disposing of, so it does come with risks like that.

I love this bed. I was indeed amazed how a king bed and frame hit into such a small box compared to the size of the bed. Mattress didn't even seem like it took long at all to reach its full size. Firm, but also like a marshmallow. The most perfect combination ever. Literally so happy I ordered this bed. My husband wanted a purple, but the quality of this bed along with price was too great to pass up.

I was very happy with how everything turned out. The frame was very easy to put together, and the mattress filled out great. It's firm yet soft all at the same time. I had so much trouble with my neck and back in the mornings, but this new mattress has really made all the difference. The only problem is that I have more trouble getting out if bed now because I don't wanna move in the mornings.

Was easy to put together and sturdy. I was a bit disappointed that one section was slightly bent (dented in). Does not really affect the integrity of the frame but I would have preferred an unbent one. The non slip pad was not included but that issue was addressed immediately and very quickly. Great product and amazing storage space.

Used to be a side sleeper and woke up stiff a lot, usually in the shoulders. Old bed was too jacked up to try sleeping on my back. Zinus changed that, the 8 inch is soft but firm enough for me to lay flat on my back and wake up without any soreness at all!
