We bought two of these April, 2015 for lake fishing (about 7-10 times per year). Have kept maintained and on slow trickle charge. One died completely after 2 years 2 months.... expected 5 years for our usage. Original boat batteries lasted 8 years.... may be you get what you pay for.... not sure what original type cost in comparison...

Battery was over a year old

Affordable and dependable

When I got it, the battery was filled with full level water, but at 70% charge. I used it with intex trolling motor 40lbs. After 1hr50min, most @speed3, the battery remains 85% charge.

It has worked great but next year will be the real test. For the money it is a good buy.
