Outstanding especially for the price.

I honestly can't believe how great these batteries have been. I bought two of them in 2020 and put them in my camper. They get charged while boondocking on 2 - 100 amp solar panels and then on the basic built in charger for the camper when at home. No special treatment or maintenance given since bought, they lasted up until the end of last summer (2025), and I'll be getting another set in the next couple of weeks to kick off this season. Even better considering when I bought them they were on sale for $69.

As good as any $100 deep cycle battery

SMH crazy reviews from people that think a deep cycle battery will last for 5 to 10 years. They used to be warrantied for 6 mo. and I would buy my trolling mtr batteries in the Spring to be assured I could get through the season. Be sure the new battery is full after 1st charge, top off with acid after that use only distilled water to top off cells. Many complain they fail too soon even when kept on a maintainer. Always check the liquid level often, charging causes them to evaporate, again use only distilled water. Charge fully before storage and if possible keep in temperature controlled environment, they can freeze at below zero temps. Heat is a big killer of lead acid batteries too. Some batteries will last more than 5 years like the one on my gate with solar charger, have filled it every year though. Some only last a year or two but if the user does some simple research on care' it will increase your chances of longer battery life. Don't blame the battery! After all it is only warranted for 12 mo.

Over 3 years life on these 27DC Marine Batteries

I have used these Duracell Marine Batteries for the past several years. I use them in gangs of two per group, a total of 6 batteries for 12V power backup systems with 120V inverters. About 2008 I purchased two of these and they lasted just short of three years with weekly trickle charging, and usage maybe 15 to 18 times a year running them down to 50% remaining charge. in 2011 I purchased 4 units, set them up with Duracell battery maintainers, and they were used probably 20 times a year, from 30% to 50% discharge. My units that were purchased in 2011 just gave up the ghost a few months ago.. over 3 years operation as standby energy with the battery maintainers hooked to them. Monthly water addition required of course. Not too shabby for $80 deep cycle batteries. I have friends who spent the giant bucks for Optimta's, barely got 18months life from them, a few just over 1 year. What can I say, when you need reliability, stick with Duracell. I am treating myself to a christmas present of 6 new 27DC group Duracell Marine batteries... I believe these are an excellent purchase, as long as you keep them properly maintained and excercised.

Absolute JUNK!!!

Kept on high dollar battery maintenance device.Literally never took motorhome on a trip after installation. Dead short both batteries in 13 months. May have been used 2-3 times for simply turning lights on in motorhome to do semiannual checks. STAY FAR AWAY. TOTAL AND ABSOLUTE JUNK... ZERO STARS RATING.

36 Month Battery Warranty

If I were to invent a battery that could stand up to a 36 month battery warranty I’d be a multi-millionaire. I have two boats, one has a huge house bank of 6 marine lead cell and 2 AGM’s for starting. The other has one AGM starter and 3 lead cell for trolling. Needless to say I seemed to be buying a battery every other month for some reason. Tried the Everstarts and they are terrible, lasting maybe 13 months at best. Tried Deka and had even worse results with them going out annually but they had a 18 month warranty. Then switched to Duracell from Sam’s and have had no trouble for the past 2 1/2 years. So far I’ve switched all on the large boat to Duracell and this weekend replaced the last P0S everstart on the smaller boat to Duracell. I hope these continue to work well for me and highly recommend. I will never give 5 stars because that would be the non-existent lifetime battery that we’re all searching for.

Duracell deep cycle lasted 6 years +

I'm just now replacing my 2, Duracell group 27 deep cycle marine batteries that run my 24v trolling motor, from 5-2018. And I'm only replacing them because I'm about to spend 4 days fishing and don't want to take a chance of them not holding up, considering they're 6 years old. I keep them on a 3-bank charger year round, keep the water levels up, and only use my boat about 8 times throughout the season. No complaints on these batteries and I just hope the new ones hold up as well as the old ones did!

Dead after 3 years

They died too quick, IMO. Outside looks like new, inside totally destructed. One developed a shorted cell. And both got sulphated even though on a marine charger continuously. They are not good for house batteries, they run down and that kills them, we did not even get 20 trips out on the water with these. Deep cycle they really are not. I replaced them with Deka 6 v golf cart batteries from Lowes which are a true deep cycle design. Perhaps only good as starting batteries.

Duracell marine failure

I bought one late summer 2018 and it was bad within 9 months so I got a free replacement in 2019 and now about 10 months later the replacement is bad. I have another brand in the boat as part of the dual battery system and it is still going strong. I will never buy a marine Duracell again. Total waist of money on terrible batteries. With I could give it zero stars because it doesn't deserve one star. I maintain the batteries with distilled water and a float charger and I have a load tester that displays voltage, CCA and internal resistance. Bad batteries confirmed by Sam's tester.

Not worth the time or money!

This was installed in summer of 2019....but disconnected with bass boat in storage. Kept battery tender attached thru 2020 and boat was used very little. May of 2021,out of storage and attached to boat...and battery was totally dead in a few hours...did not hold a charge....for more than a few hours...

Dead off the shelf

Purchased July 2020. First time out with small trolling motor it registered at 25% after charging and struggled to turn the motor. I figured it was my error and charge again. On try number two, despite reading full, it powered the motor less than five minutes and quickly showed as depleted. Likely bad cells out of the factory. Very poor showing for Duracell quality control. I've lost confidence in their products. Paying a bit more for a more reputable product going forward.
