I have multiple devices within my home from the same manufacturer. Other devices have no connectivity issue. The Roku express 3930 should be recalled. The device once connected, the device will work for a couple days then will not reconnect to the network forcing hard resets of network and roku. Often it will require 5 or 10 restarts of both network and roku to reconnect. There are obviously flaws in the software of this device related to connectivity. Roku needs to address these issues.

I have a model 3700X. I purchased this fairly recently. I like the product. However, I just learned AppleTV as well as PeacockTV are unavailable for this model. I have been unable to find a fix for this issue... I cannot recommend a roku device to anyone. FYI. Customer service is a blog site.

I had this device over a year ago, and just recently,it keeps rebooting itself, interrupting my TV viewing! This really makes me so mad! And plus, if it's on a steaming channel, it jumps right back to the home screen! I'm purchasing another one which I hope is better, because I have an account with Tubi.

After a few months of this product working fine, it suddenly refuses to stay connected to my WiFi. I will be disconnected from the WiFi several times per day, even though I didn't have a single problem before. If this was fixable, it would be fine. However, the FAQ article offers possible solutions that clearly do not fit the problem, and have not resolved it (or I wouldn't be writing this review). Attempting to contact Roku Support through their support page just informs me that agent assistance isn't available for this device. Other reviews make it clear that this is a widespread issue as well. I understand this wasn't the most expensive product offering, but I still expected to at least be able to get a couple years of use before it stopped working. Having the device be completely unusable after just a few months feels like a complete waste of my money. I wish I hadn't bought it at all.

We needed to downsize our monthly cable bill so were returning the rented converter boxes and instead bought Roku Express. Set up was very easy, the Roku system is very affordable (they have several different models to fit your needs) and the Express was all we really needed. We continue to rent cable service and now have our Roku Express set up which was a very easy thing to do. Now we not only get cable service (through the streaming system) but we get a lot of other free channels/shows/movies/tv that we didn't get before. Another perk...no more ugly cables exposed as everything is plugged directly into the back of the tv. Great reception with a reduced monthly cable bill. We were so impressed that we now have all of our sets hooked up to Roku Express, even a smart tv that had no cable hookup located in our sunroom. This is a great way to hook up a smart tv on your patio as well...you will just need one outlet for electrical hookup and Roku will do the rest. Thanks Roku!

I have both products but wish I would have know before about Roku. I got a Apple TV first then cancel cable switch to streaming services and the ROKU works better and way less expensive. I should have started with Roku. Now I even use it at my office!

We bought a tv for Christmas and it just happend to be a sharp tv with Ruko best thing to accidently buy. We did not know what Ruko was so we looked into it on facebook. So awesome! Not sure why a few people had negitive comments about this one it is soooo good and free! Easy to use and set up just hook up to the tv it will pop up automatically type in web brower the web site and add the password so easy. We bought this product for the all of our rooms! So happy :)

If you’re looking for something to last more than a year, try a different company. The Roku express worked great for the first few months. But, then I started having consistent issues with it staying connected to the wifi. And now that I’ve had it for a year or so, it’s not connected to the internet more often than it is. I’ve tried restarting it, resetting my router, completely resetting the Roku device. Nothing works. When my phone, laptop, and desktop are all connected to the wifi, there’s clearly something wrong with the device. I’d say get one of the more expensive models and maybe you’ll have better luck. But with the performance of the Roku express, I don’t trust them to be any better.

I have 4 Roku Express units. Each one must be restarted once or more per week when we have them connected although the two with the rounded top seem to be more reliable than the other two. The home page turns pinkish and fuzzy and then the screen goes blank.

Roku has saved me a ton of money over the years - haven’t had to pay for programs I never watch with a cable company and haven’t had to update my tv to get the programming I want. I only pay for what I actually want and many channels are free besides the ones I subscribe to.
