Amazing Product! Well Worth The $$$!
This is larger than I was expecting but it gives good space for 2 people to play. Joysticks and buttons are responsive and very durable. Once the firmware is updated and access to the online materials is made, there is a great selection of titles that you can play outside of the included titles. Also search for other ways to expand this system. Definitely worth it.
Have fun!

My Husband and Son Love It
My husband and son really enjoyed the full sized arcade that we bought from Sam's Club last year so we had to pick up this new table top arcade they released. They love playing fighting games on the couch against each other. My husband really enjoys connecting to his Steam account to play his newer games.
Great to hear. Thank you.
BYOG for the win!
Don't listen to the nay sayers on here! The BYOG feature saves the console. You can 'bring your own games' quite easily. Plus, connect to your own PC either wirelessly through the wifi (and app), or bluetooth. You can also connect directly to the PC with the provided USB cable. I have 1000s of games now through Steam, Twitch, or whatever! As for the grumpies who have 'never heard of these [built in] games', so what! These are the original arcades from the 70s and 80s, preserved perfectly. If you get involved in the weekly tournaments, it makes it quite fun to play new, 'old school' games you wouldn't play usually. Arcade games are all about getting your initials at the top of the high score board anyway, no matter how original, weird, frustrating, fun, cute, or whatever the game is. Most of the built in games have a save and rewind feature. Making it easier to get farther than ever before. Although, if you are going for the high score, than you have got to see how far you CAN get on '1 quarter'. I bought this arcade 2 weeks ago, and liked it so much I went back and bought the upright Legends Ultimate. Please reconsider and enjoy. You wont regret it.
Thank you for the great feedback. Enjoy!
With a bit of work this is a GREAT system!
I completely disagree with all the negative reviews. This is and excellent system for classic gaming in a small and portable package. True, the included games are not the best selection (although Space Invaders and BurgerTime are great), but the ability to add titles through CoinOpsX is fantastic. I have been able to play all of my favorites and the fun and nostalgia cannot be beat. There can be some input lag via the Bluetooth, but if you connect the control deck directly to the puck via a USB cable the controls are seamless. Although, since there is only one USB port on the puck, you will have to use a hub to connect your thumb drive and the control deck. However, you do not need a powered hub and this is still a very small footprint for everything. If you are willing to put a little time and effort into it, you will not be disappointed!

USB drive trouble
I have purchased two of these consoles with the idea of using the advanced features to play countless games from back in the day. This is the best console in terms of build quality I have run across, much better than a Pandora's box. That's what I was looking for, something that has the weight to stay put while playing with it sitting on the counter. It looked like the dream console for playing games like Donkey Kong, Defender, Pacman, Joust, etc.... BUT both of my consoles will not read a USB drive so if you are planning on using the CoinOpsX functions to play all the great games.....good luck. I am not giving up yet. Maybe I have two defective units?? If tech support can help me get that portion going, I will gladly up my review to a solid 5 stars, but for now much disappointment. This console is basically a giant wireless controller that I thought you would be able to access lots more games. So for now I have a giant wireless controller that has 150 average games. There are so many other consoles out there you can purchase that have thousands of games on them and include the good ones. This has Space Invaders and some Tetris games and not much else.
As long as you follow the instructions to prepare the USB drive, it goes into the console portion, not the wireless controller, and will work without issue. You can get extra support on the Facebook fan pages or by checking or various YouTube videos. Thank you.
Underwhelming
I was really hoping this was going to be a fun addition to our home but I ended up being pretty underwhelmed. First off, the system is not intuitive to set up. Second, for games (like Space Invaders) where you have two players taking turns, for some reason player 2 can only play on the player 1 controls instead of using the player 2 controls on their side of the board. This makes for an annoying game with handing the huge control board back and forth. Third, there are certain games (particularly in the beta program which has additional games) where the music is glitchy (super annoying) and they don't provide instructions before the game starts on how to play. Overall, it is a very poor value for $150. We returned it.
Note that these are the original games, some of which only used 1 player controls when alternating players. We do offer a function to mirror controls should that prove more convenient. Thank you.
Another "returns" nightmare for Sam's.
It looks impressive plugged into the giant Sam's Club TV when you walk by. There will be no games you recognize on the machine. ArcadeNet only has an additional 48 games to choose from at a subscription price which again you will not have heard of any of the titles. ArcadeNet will not publish their subscription price and will lure you in with a "FREE" limited time offer. Always be ware of those who purposely "hide" their prices. Other reviews show a software that is unproven and riddled with inconsistencies. Save your time and leave these on the shelf so you don't have to do the Walk-Of-Shame and make a return. Does anyone at Sam's actually play this junk before they order 100 container loads of the product?
Thank you for the feedback. Note that of the more than 300 built-in games, over 50 are universally considered ALL-TIME classics. If you're not familiar with these classics and the hundreds of additional great games, you owe it to yourself to check them out with the authentic arcade-style controls on this premium platform. You'll no doubt come to understand why these games are all-time greats and why getting to know gaming history better is a good thing.

There are lots of options through BYOG to play/add virtually an unlimited number of additional games, including the ability to stream PC games. This versatility is best-in-class.

In terms of ArcadeNet, it's free while in beta. Once out of beta, we'll offer many more game and subscription options - all completely optional - for those who want to take advantage of them. Again, no other product in its class offers anywhere near the versatility and options that are present on the Legends Ultimate.

Of course, again, you can play virtually unlimited games for free, but we also offer subscription options for things like cloud-based game streaming for those who want that option as well. On the Legends Ultimate, you play how you want.

We also provide weekly firmware updates that add features or optimize performance. We and our owners prefer the option to enhance the experience with new capabilities and add-ons rather than keep you restricted to just what you get out of the box. It's definitely a good thing.
Broken from Day 1. Miserable Bluetooth. Returning
From the 1st hour of using this thing, it was broken because my network had a $ symbol in the SSID. Next the thing is relentlessly telling you to log in, and telling you that it is pure beta. Today I got the latest software update (had to pay $20 extra to get Pinball games, even though the thing has built-in flipper buttons), and all bluetooth stopped working (the controller communicates via bluetooth). Tried setting it up, and restarting it by ripping the power cable out (no power button on the thing) several times. It kinda worked for the first 2 weeks, but totally dead now. I have spent no less than 3 hours emailing their support team back and forth. The online component makes zero sense...bringing up some sort of Windows desktop. I wish I could say this is normal, but I have a degree in computer science AND Information systems. My entire home is a smart home, and for some reason, I can't get this silly thing to re-connect to it's "core" over bluetooth.
Thank you for the feedback. There are pinball games available for free. We're sorry you had trouble with the WiFi. Our newest update likely addresses any issue you might be having with your particular connection.
