While it worked within the warranty period, albeit only a couple of times, after a couple of years the unit failed. Won't charge, won't start a dead battery. It appears to work, but, either the internal battery has failed, or, the charging mechanism, or both. Do, in fact, stay away

I do wish I would have read the reviews 1st! It doesn't work like I thought it would when I bought it. But I'll take the loss for not doing more thorough research beforehand. But the thing doesn't even do what it's supposed to do. It doesn't charge batteries very well. I doesn't pump up tires very effectively. I have to search for some type of instructions online every time I use it. It takes longer to charge it than it does for it to lose the charge when it's not in use. It was a terrible waste of money and I'll admit I'm very upset about this purchase, considering I had regarded Stanley and at least a decent product manufacturer.

I've used this unit once. On my second attempt - using the air compressor to inflate low tires - the unit quit doing anything when I attempted to start the compressor. Now, I can't get the unit to power on at all, and nothing happens when I hook it up to charge. I'm glad I wasn't stuck on the side of the road, which is why I bought it, but I'm seriously disappointed with it.

I had this for less than 1 year and compressor stopped working while trying to put some air on my car tires!!.. I tried to get it repaired due still under warranty with Stanley and was not worth it. Have to pay for shipping out of my own pocket and it cost as much as the unit to send it back!

bought december 2018, for me worked very well from that date. the sprocket, on pump, only spins and will not engage the compressor pump. now almost 3 years later can not buy parts. Stanley does not sale parts. I guess I got my money worth. So buy if 2-3 years of life then trash is okay with you. I think buying the 3 year extended protection plan may not be a bad idea. to bad I did not buy the 3 year plan. for what I bought and the use I got, it's worth 5 stars. if you buy one DON"T I mean don't leave in the rain. FYI, bought 2 previous jump starter, rain is not their friend, I found out the hard way.

This little unit is a workhorse. I bought it today and needed to use it to pump car tires that got really low with the bitter cold temperature. It filled 2 very low tires in 12 minutes and 2 slightly low tires in 4 minutes. While that seemed like a long time, I can't complain because the typical gas station free air compressor valves aren't always maintained. And to my surprise it was FULLY charged upon purchase. I'm going to buy a second one for our other vehicle.

This appears to be a good buy. However be aware that no 110VAC cord is supplied and most110 VAC equipment power cords do not fit. I finally found an inexpensive extension cord, with no ground, that would fit the plug on the unit. Nowhere in advertising, that I could find, did it say there was no charging power cord included. The unit appears to be as advertised elsewise.

My step-dad just gave me this. It won't stay charged but it works as far as I know I haven't tested everything since it's just plugged in. But really without the battery it's useless anyways. But I'm going to see how much a battery cost and I might get one and then make another comment. But for now I'm complaining about the fact that I'm on the products website and the user manual is not available. Like if anywhere it should be right here. Oh the order form to buy one is available but not to help out a previously bought one. So I had to say something about that.a

this was a waste of money I own the fatmax power station also this thing never worked maybe about five months its been sitting collecting dust it stopped charging and it wouldnt jump start my car when it needed it to its terrible to see all the negativity for this product

Yes. One use and you wonder why you spent money on this line of product from manufacturer. First unit, compressor failed after the first tire. Retailer replaced and second unit switch failed to power off unit and unable to change between compressor or charger.
