Keeps Turning On By Itself

In the middle of the night it turns on and the compressor is pumping air in nothing. It happens all the time till it is completely discharged. I don't charge it anymore unless I want to use it. If there was a way to discharge it as soon as I am done using it it would be good. Other than this issue it works well.

Verified Purchase

Buyers beware

I never actually opened the box, but purchased and later returned after I read the reviews on the Stanley website. An overwhelming amount said the battery doesn't last or it eventually just stops charging. The girl at customer service confirmed my suspicion when she told me they get a lot of returns of this product. I'm going to keep an eye out for a lithium ion alternative.

BMW Owners Think Twice Before Buying This

Purchased this as a replacement for a prior Stanley Fat Max jump starter which gave out after 2 years. This one has all the bells and whistles but does not work well with BMW vehicles with 6cyl or 8cyl engines at full charge. Charged this thing for 2 days. When I needed it most it failed when connected and used per manual instructions. Brought it back after 2 months and was told by the Customer Service that there has been a record number of returns on this unit and suggested I think twice about an exchange. The purchase price was refunded but I wasted $5 for the 3year replacement plan which they refused to refund. Bottom line it was not worth the money. Going to look for a more dependable unit. Why buy something that could keep you stranded?

Horrible quality

Turns backlight and led light on for no reason and depletes power, no usb power has ever worked. Don't waste your time or money on this. Big dissatisfaction when paying this much for something that is supposed to be working for someone in an emergency situation.

NO OWNER'S MANUAL!

I can't find an owner's manual online anywhere. Where can I get one if Stanley Tools doesn't even have one posted online anywhere? This is VERY DISAPPOINTING! I just bought the attachment set you see in a picture I posted, and want to know how to replace standard tip with tip that comes with attachment kit...which incidentally...Stanley directed me too when I was looking for compatible attachments. PLEASE ADVISE!

Air compressor failed after 3rd tire.

The compressor stopped working after the 3rd tire. I was adding about 5 psi to each tire. It was working great until it stopped working on the 4th tire. I thought it was low on battery so I charged it up and it still didn't work. I only got to use it twice since having it. The first time was to help a co-worker jumped start his vehicle and the second time was adding 5 psi each to three tires on my vehicle.

Very happy with it!!

I bought this about 3 years ago and use it frequently. Works well for filling up tires, especially with the auto stop feature—just choose the PSI and let it run. It’s great for camping too. Plug in all your devices and charge whenever and wherever you need it.

Barely enough battery to put air in a tire

I bought this for my father for Christmas. He fully charged it and used it to put some air in one of his car tires. It went really slow and the battery was completely dead after 2-3 minutes. I find it hard to believe it would ever successfully jump start a car. We will be returning this item.

Didn’t work as advertised

Bought this around 12/1/17. Sold my old one and wish I had it back. Charged it for a couple of days before i tried using it. Set this one to 32 psi and put it on my tire which was registering 28.5. The Fatmax would turn on for a split second. Tried over and over. Let air out of my tire and tried again. Finally after 15-20 times it started running but after 1-2 seconds it shifted to a lower speed and then it took several minutes to get to 32 psi. Next tire, same thing. I returned it to Sams. Stanley needs to work on this some more. Wasted my time.

Defective

After only 1 year and 1 mild use it is going haywire. Turns on by itself randomly drains the battery and the compressor will just start on it's own, lights will flash. Acts like something from an 80s tech movie. Straight junk. Dissapointing for a stanley product, especially since this is apparently a known issue. Should have done more research but I trusted the Stanley name... Won't do that again.
