First one died after 13 months on the dot

Do not buy this without buying the extended warranty through SAMSCLUB! First one died in 13 months. It starting saying full-charge, then when I tried to use the airpump it died and said the battery was discharged. Plugged it in, said it was charged full in 5 minutes. Then tried it again, DEAD again. I took it apart, removed the big battery and the battery was 13V across the terminals with a voltmeter. After putting a decent load on the battery, it still showed 12.9v indicating the battery was strong and not defective. The charge circuit, or something failed in this unit. I was unable to return it as it passed the 1 year mark. I bought a new one as I was on the road and had no choice and I need air. At Samsclub, I purchased the 9 dollar extended warranty and got another one. I will reccomend this jump/airbox but only if you can buy the extended warranty at the time of the sale at samsclub.

Good for air only

Had this for a few years. Used it a ton of times to air tires up. It works great on bicycles, lawnmowers, and auto. I don’t think I’ve ever been able to jump a battery on the first attempt. Always have to recharge at least one time, sometimes multiple times, to get it to work for a battery.

Air pump dies after several uses.

Over the years I've had 3 or 4 of these and each time the air pump died. Sometimes within a few months, sometimes right after the warranty expired. If you want a jumper box it was great but if you need the air pump I wouldn't recommend this unit. It always sounded like a stripped gear inside. Perhaps they used plastic parts that easily broke.

Verified Purchase

Never fails or leaves you stranded

I just bought this charger when I saw an older lady standing in the rain next her car which had a dead battery. I told it’s fresh out of the box it may need a charge. To my surprise it was charged and I am 63 yo it’s easy to operate works right out of the box. Great product!

Bad battery has very low output Don't buy

I charged as per instruction. IT only has only 200 amp it is new right out of the box. Will not jump a car. It is only good for charging a cell phone. Customer service would not help. I was told o ship it to Florida and they will fix it in 2 month's. Shipping would cost almost what I paid for it. [So I HAVE A BIG PHONE CHARGER] No more Stanley for me

Junk box! Not jump box!

Worthless since I bought it! Only things that really worked are the light and tire pump. As far as a jump box it's a piece of garbage. Seem to drain when not in use, takes for ever to charge, one or to jumps its dead. Don't buy should have taken it back right away. But procrastinated.

Great start, but lacks endurance.

Plugged it in on day one to ensure full charge before first use. Never showed a full charge. After using a couple times I noticed the LED light was coming on by itself. Repeatedly! Now after a few more months the LED is on more than off. And it will not hold a charge very long without having to recharge it. Now the display is coming lose inside the unit. Had one previously and it was great. Guess I got one built on a Friday afternoon.

Believe reviews.

Purchased Stanley Fatmax Power Station just over a year ago. Worked great until air compressor went out. Spring and fall I like to air tires up on my camper. In between used compressor probably 4 or 5 times on my pickup because air level fluctuates with temperature. Compressor failed after about 13 months. Home use only. Read several reviews but was skeptical.

Worth every dollar!

I bought this power station 3 months ago. Initially I was looking just for a portable air compressor, as one of the tires on my car began having a slow leak that required regular trips to the gas station every 3 days. This device will make you a better owner as you're likely to check the air pressure in all four tires each time you get the unit out. The Auto-Off feature is a nice added touch that most air compressors don't have. From my research, portable air compressors at the big-box hardware stores are either overpriced, not very portable and/or not practical for daily usage. At $1.50/each, using the gas station air compressors, which are frequently unaccessible in the winter months, can start to add up as well. At the gas station rate and using just the air compressor feature, I've already saved myself $16.50, more than covering the cost of the 3-year SquareTrade extended warranty (rechargeable batteries begin to retain less of a charge after 2 years, so it's well worth it). I cannot speak to the ability of it to start a car with a dead battery, as I haven't had to use it for that yet, neither for myself nor for others. The LED lights are super bright and helpful when using the device at night.
