PERFECT

I bought this unit for Black Friday sale. I thought it was a 1200 amp unit as shown in the description. But when I received the unit it was actually just 1,000 amps. Did they switch a lesser product out for the same price? I tried to load a picture but got error message. Will be returning unit to the store.

Bought and never used. But tested it and it worked good. Pump up a tire in short time. Kept it properly charged and carried around in trunk IN BOX secured no bouncing around. First time I needed compressor it didn't work. No power just dead. Warranty expired so I took apart. Very complicated to disassemble special tools required. I discovered the thin red hot wire to the compressor motor solder broke loose. But Stanley cleverly rigged it near impossible to disassemble and fix. Like they knew it was going to happen. Because of special fasteners and glue and such. In other words I know how to repair it but can't. Moral of story wiring connections on this toy are very weak and fragile. Not reliable for keeping in trunk with normal road bump conditions. The thing failed to serve its purpose as an emergency air compressor. It left me stranded first time I needed it.

This was the fifth such "jump starter" that I have purchased over the last two decades. I have never gotten more than 3 years life out of any of them. I purchased the extended warranty because of this. Sure enough, mine would not work or recharge almost 3 years after purchase, just before the warranty expired. I only used it as a jump starter twice over that time, and never used the air compressor. Took it back to Sams Club, and despite the large pile of new ones in the store, they would not accept it, so I had to contact Allstate. I was only offered $55 reimbursement, because I had purchased it during a price reduction, and now it costs almost $90. Definitely not buying the same thing again. Word of advice, if you find yourself needing this frequently, you are better off buying a new vehicle battery.

Coolest gadget EVER

Bought one had it for a few months went to jump start buddy and it failed and I had fully charged it when purchased took it back to Sams and they exchanged for a new no problem. I charged this one as well when I got it home went to jump start a bobcat skid steer again new one failed. gonna try and exchange again. I have always had these without incident way back to peak 450 but Stanley really dropped the ball on this 1000 amp
