Not Chunks

Tuna is all small bits, not chunks. OK if you small bits are good for your use. Don?t buy this if you need your tuna in chunks.

Check the weight!

5 ounce can claims 1oz water 4oz tuna. Actually 2.1 oz water and 2.9 oz tuna in the can. Contacted Starkist. No response.

Puree Slurry

Starkist chops up the tuna into a puree, slurry and the texture is disgusting. I will no longer be buying this tuna.

Minced tuna

Real disappointed there were no chunks at all in the first can. Hopefully it will be different with the rest of it.

Poor quality product

More like shredded than Chunk. Impossible to drain properly in the can due to the texture and thin lids. Have used 4 cans and picked out 3 large bones between them. What has happened to quality in the last several years?? Very disappointed.

Lots of water

I've used a lot of different brands of tuna and it's my opinion, after testing my theory, that there are other brands that have more actual tuna in their cans. Go buy a can of value tuna and compare for yourself. The difference is quite glaring.

It's not the best quality brand anymore.

I have found dark brown tuna with skin and bones in this last purchase of Starkist. I always purchase this brand, but the quality isn't what it once was.

Bones in it.

I know that it's hard not to find any bones in fish but that grosses me out. As soon as I opened the first can, I saw bones in it. Now, I will be giving it to my cats as a treat.

Good enough

Great for on the go, and or power outages, the punch opens easily. But it’s a bit on the dry side, and tuna gets stuck in the corners at the bottom of the punch. I think I’ll buy a manual can opener and stick with the cans.

Good deal

For canned tuna, I think this is not a bad deal. My family likes tuna salad sandwitch so I like the package with many cans in it. I also find that this product has discount often, which helps.
