I love most Members Mark items, but these are not my favorite protein bar. On the box they compare themselves to quest but taste nothing like Quest bars at all. Their texture is a bit doughy/gummy (for lack of a better word)

I have eaten the Pure Protein bars for years and have been satisfied. I have a very strict with protein / carb requirement and this bar checked all the boxes for me. When I saw these in the club recently I tried them and was pleasantly surprised. Not only did I love them and they really helped me lose weight, my husband liked eating them too! I went back to the Club to get more and they were gone. I've looked at every club I pass and I can't find them anywhere. Please bring them back!!!

It's rare that I find a protein bar that I LOVE. I'm not picky, I'll eat most after a run. But these are ones I crave! I am in graduate school and not allowed to work so I can't afford Quest or One bars (what I'd compare these to). please please bring these back! I went in 3 times in the past 2 weeks because they said they were on order but now their spot disappeared :(

Member's Mark High Protein Bar - Soft Oven-Baked While this bar may have high protein, it does not have high flavor content. I have tried at least 12 different food/protein bars recently. This Member's Mark bar is at the bottom of the list in taste. It is not the worse thing but may be the worst food bar, in taste, available through Sam's Club. The taste is slightly improved if the bar is room temp or above. [not melted though.] In addition, the bars have chocolate pieces all over the top of the bar. But they do not stick to the bar well. So don't ever eat one of these bars while standing over good carpet. The bits just fall off. The Member's Mark bars have only one gram of sugar [good!] But they have 13 grams of Sugar Alcohols [bad!!] Don't eat one with company if sugar alcohols make you pass gas. Okay price. Moderately okay taste but not the best. Overall, I would prefer Think Thin, Pure Protein, or even Atkins.

I suspect this is the sort of product that many people will not care for, so bear in mind that this is just one man's opinion. The texture of these bars is very heavy and chewy; and the flavor, while not horrible in my opinion, is nothing to write home about. If you're looking for something that feels and tastes like a typical candy bar, then this product is not what you're looking for. It's very dense and heavy and not exactly brimming with flavor. In my situation, however, they're almost ideal. I'm on a low-carb diet, but I have to travel pretty frequently; and low-carb foods are nearly impossible to find on the road unless you want to eat nothing but hard-boiled eggs. Unlike most other diet bars, one of these will fill me up and keep me going for several hours. In fact, they're the most filling meal-replacement bars I've ever tried: and that's what I was looking for when I bought them. Everything in life is a compromise. I've read a lot of the bad reviews about how chewy and dense these bars are. And I agree. They go down like lead sinkers. But it's that density that makes them filling; and because they're so filling you can tuck a few in your coat pocket, purse, murse, or whatever and be good to go for a day at work or a long trip. My advice: If you're on a low-carb diet and the most important thing you're looking for in a meal-replacement bar is that it's filling, then I suggest you give these a try. They fill me up, and that's not an easy thing to do. But if flavor and texture are the most important things to you, then you probably won't like these. Look elsewhere. In summary, I'm going to say "Yes," I recommend these bars: but with the caveat that my recommendation is conditional upon satiation being the most important factor in your selection. Richard

Picked up a box of these to try after reading the reviews. I love them! Great nutrition, great taste, great value! Now they are discontinued.. :( Please bring them back! I'll help promote them, they'll be better sellers!

They actually smells and tastes quite awful. I bought them few months ago, and there are few still left in my refrigerator. Sam's must stop this item for sure.

I tried the Quest Cookie Dough bar and it was surprisingly tasty, and far exceeded my expectations of a protein bar. I saw these in the local club and thought I would give them a try, they are ok, but i feel like Quest has a better tasting product. I have seen Costco also carries Quest knockoff's I might give those a try as well.

These are quite possibly the worst tasting protein bars I have ever tried. I am skeptical that the glowing 5 star reviews are not authentic because there is no way anyone with working taste buds would determine these as palatable. They even smell bad. There is almost no difference in flavor between the chocolate and cookie dough bars. They have a strange gummy texture. They leave a terrible aftertaste in your mouth. The chocolate chips on top that are supposedly there to mask the awful flavor are sickly sweet and themselves have a strange texture. Please, save yourself the misery of eating these and choose literally anything else as a snack.

I am always on the lookout for low carb, low glycemic index, higher protein bars and Sams finally has one. I've had to endure other brands and some can be tough to chew and if they get hard (they're pretty rock solid to begin with), almost impossible to munch. In my experience, any protein bar takes getting used to, but I liked these right away...so it is an acquired taste. For the money, it's about a buck a bar and that's a deal. Hopefully they'll get them back in stock as they are out presently...arg. Bottom line, if you're looking for the low carb, (net 2 carbs with the sugar alcohol and fiber) low GI and high protein, give it a shot. They work for me.
