I purchase this food to help feed a feral cat colony - these are cats that are captured, neutered/spayed, and then release back to their habitat as they are not suitable for adoption as house cats. The food is good and the price is very, very reasonable, which allows me to help with the feeding without breaking the bank.

I used to buy it years ago before the recall, and my local store stopped carrying it. Saw it back in stock so I bought a bag. Cats have it smell it and walk away. Even tried putting it outside thought maybe at least the some strays would eat it instead of throwing it out they wouldn't eat it either.

I have multiple cats and they all ate the food, but were not enjoying it. They barely would eat and one of my cats had bloody stool after a week of eating it. I went back to their previous brand and the blood issue resolved. I have gone through two bags of their regular brand since the episode. The cats also resumed their regular eating patterns and quantity. I really wanted this food to work because of the value.
