Much of our culture evolves around the use of plastic and we may never be able to get away from that. Plastics impart a distinctive "flavor" to food storage not to mention all those microplastic particles that permeate our water, air, soil. I have decided to return to glass storage as much as possible and was glad to locate this set. I just removed the containers from the box and am getting ready to wash them. The glass will go in the dishwasher but I will hand wash the lids; I find plastic seems to hold up better when hand washed. My major concern is the lids. The seals have already popped out of some the lids; no biggey, they reinsert nicely, but for me, this may become a source of annoyance if it happens frequently. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase and am looking forward to using these storage conainers.

Great set. great value.

I was hesitant about buying these because I was looking specifically for boroscillicate glass- due to its proven durability. The price point of these were far more attractive though. So I gave them a try. I've had two sets of these for about 5 months. During that time I have dropped, baked, and frozen the glasses and I couldn't be more pleased with their performance. None of them have broken or cracked thus far. I have stored things like Curry, marinated meat in them, even moved them from the freezer directly to the oven and none of them show any signs of wear.

Purchased these to replace our plastic ones. When they are filled with the covers on and you try to stack them they slide off. The Rubbermaid ones have a ridge that allows you to stack and helps to transport to the fridge. Potentially dangerous when the glass hits the floor. I will need to be much more careful now as I can't return them. On the plus side the glass is sturdy when it hits the floor and the tops lock in nicely so no spills ;) look elsewhere for glass storage containers

Grateful for truly airtight food storage! In both freezer & fridge, food does NOT dry out. (I have a different set of glass storage bowls, but the plastic lids do not snap on & food dries out). Only suggestion to manufacturer: ADD A PULL TAB to remove seals. My health conditions make it impossible to do without a tool of some sort. I tore 2 seals trying to get them out! Since then, I found right sized spoon to lift out of corner & it works. But still - not easy - for me anyway. Seriously, how hard would it be to add a tab you can grab onto? Love that they save space in cupboard, they're stackable in fridge, & shape gives me more room in fridge. Took me a bit to realize the seal has to be pushed in all the way or its very hard to close. My trick is closing opposite sides together while PUSHING DOWN. Turn, repeat with other sides.

Arrived in a well packaged undamaged box. Two of the lids had a tab broken off and they were sitting in the bottom of the box. So they must have packaged it that way from the factory. I hope that isn't indicative of the durability of the lid. Other than that they seem like they seal very nicely.
