Hi GrandmaAgain, thank you for your purchase of the Members Mark 24-piece Glass Food Storage Set by Glasslock. The lids will get easier with use. We do suggest pressing your finger along the gasket to make sure the gasket is pressed tight into the lid. When latching the lids, press down on the container and latch two opposite side at the same time. Repeat with the other two latching lids.
