On the box is the statement that the ties are flexible to tightly fit on trash cans for 13 gal bags. They are NOT flexible; ridged 24 inches wide - will not stretch on the can's opening. 25 inches would work or a 24 inch stretch tie.

These are pretty good bags. I've rarely had a problem with them tearing or puncturing. I appreciate that the plastic "handles" don't break or rip through the plastic. They hold a good amount and fit my trash can perfectly!

Straps don't rip through bags when you pull on them as easily as they do with glad force flex bags. Bag itself doesn't tear when pulling over trash can edges.
