Very thin plastic with the layers stuck together so that they need to be manually separated with much difficulty and often tearing the plastic. After two leaks/breaks, I am doubling and tripling them until I use them up. The product has changed from that of years ago.

these bags are one of the BEST purchases that EVERYONE should buy!!! i generally have to buy a box per year unless i have to use a big quantity for something. However, truth is that for less than 20 bucks you just can’t beat that!!!! Quality is EQUALLY as important to me when it comes to garbage bags that are strong and durable and THESE ARE THE BEST!!!! In my opinion, they are much better than the name brand ones!!!

I used to love these trash bags (as much as one could love trash bags), they were my go-to choice. The new version doesn't follow the older one well. They do have a nice scent now, but.....they rip much easier & the neck doesn't stretch as well without failing at the gathers or fail at the gathers with a heavy load. And annoyingly, the lower sides of the bags are stuck tightly together, just a simple "fluffing" won't fully open the bag. You must stick your arms way down inside to get them unstuck (then you smell like the bags), or you can "fluff" it, then grab the neck to trap the air, and squeeze out to each corner to pop them out - and they do make a pop - thats how tightly they are stuck together. The wife won't take the time to do that, so the trash can is then effectively "short-sheeted", and if you don't push the trash down hard while it's still fairly empty, but instead wait til it's full, you can't push hard enough to pop out the bottom corners. I don't know if they employees are doing that or not, but I seriously doubt it. Give me the older version back, please.

I’ve always hated spending money on trash bags, knowing that they’re going to end up in....you guessed it! The TRASH. I bought this exact box of 200 bags about 6 or 7 months ago and I’m just now getting another box. That’s how long they lasted! They are just like the Hefty bags! No rips. No leaks. So glad Sam’s is still selling these!

While I see, based on the reviews, that this product has been around for over a year, we just finished our last bag in our last box that was the former product. For the record, we use a paper bag inside the tall kitchen bag before putting it into our trash can and this gets removed weekly when hubby does his weekly round of all trash cans in the house. Putting the size change aside (it doesn't affect how it fits in our brand new trash can in our brand new kitchen remodel), the thickness of this bag is such that if you put anything mildly moist in it, it bleeds through the bag and leaves mold in the bottom of the trash can. We were shocked to see mold in the bottom of our brand new trash can. For the last couple of weeks, using the old bags, no problem. New bag... mold! Obviously, we won’t be buying these again!

I have not had any issues with them being ill-fitting or tearing. They perform just as well as Glad trash bags. They fit my garbage can perfectly, I have a Simplehuman narrow step can. I also love that there is an unscented option. 200 bags will probably last me almost 2 years!

I was loyal to a certain "sturdy" brand for years. After not being able to find them I bought these hoping that these reviews were true. I have not looked back since. These are sturdy and they don't leak and cost much less. I see that they've gone down in price since my last purchase, which is even better. I've gone through 100 bags so far, no issues to report!

I dont like the scent. I've notice that the scent is gone but we have had the box for quite a while. Sorry i dont have a time frame. The bag holds the trash well. I did notice that it leaked but i dont know if it was from a hole we put in it. I'd buy unscented if i could.

I've been buying these bags for years and have rarely had a problem. They are a tight fit at the top but I've never had a bag slide down, which is all that matters to me. It takes alot to puncture the bag, which is always my fault. They stand up to being overloaded and sometimes dragged out to the trash can. Some ppl complained recently that their bags are now attached together in the box and you have to rip them at the perferations. I just bought my bags about 2 months ago and mine are not attached, you just pull it out of the box. If my next purchase has bags that I have to tear at the perferations, I would not be happy. Otherwise I highly recommend these bags.

I bought these and when it was time to use them I realized that they had a scent to them. The scent is too strong, I will have to find something else to buy My lungs just can't handle the scent The bags are great but the smell. Oh How many more times can I comment on the smell?
