I love this bag is the perfect size for my trash can, I have bought others but they come smaller and end up in the bottom of the trash can, it is cheap (12 cents) it is sturdy and flexible. I used to buy this bag at my local sam's unfortunately it was closed, now due to the distance I ordered it online

Looking at the features listed on the box you would think these would be excellent trash bags but they actually aren't. They have 2 major flaws. First, the drawstring snaps much easier than it should. Second, there is a seam a few inches from the top of the bag which tears VERY easily. Once the seam tears the entire side of the bag along the seam opens up. It's really odd that they would design a trash bag called "Power Flex" with such an obvious flaw.

I was loyal to a certain "sturdy" brand for years. After not being able to find them I bought these hoping that these reviews were true. I have not looked back since. These are sturdy and they don't leak and cost much less. I see that they've gone down in price since my last purchase, which is even better. I've gone through 100 bags so far, no issues to report!

Normally, I purchase the Glad Force Flex. Also, normally, I have found the Member's Mark brand products to be of equal quality to such name brands. So far, I've only found two exceptions and this is one of them. While they are sufficient for light trash use they are not strong at all. They are very susceptible to tearing (and I mean the plastic just melts away and keeps right on growing!).

Bags have changed - they now have a red drawstring instead of orange. Top fold now tears when cinching drawstring so I find myself using the drawstring to create a knot in the plastic almost like a hair bun, whereas I used to just tie the drawstring together as shown on package. Plastic now shows frequent pre-tear stress marks (though I'll admit doesn't tear). Sam's has probably made a decision to change suppliers and/or reduce quality rather than increase pricing. I'd probably rather pay a dollar more and have the old bags back. Not sure whether I'll keep buying these, go to the name brand, or see if the original supplier is selling in a white box on you-know-where-dotcom.

I have to agree with the other reviewers about the bags being smaller; like them I have been purchasing these bags for a long time now, but the new bags are not the same size. With that being said I have had no problems carefully stretching the bags to fit my 13gal trash can. And I have had no problems with bags ripping and let me tell you my wife is famous for putting stuff that not only weighs a ton (o.k. over exaggerated, but you get the point) and stuff that simply doesn't belong in a trash can and I have had no problems with tearing or ripping. And when I remove the bags from the trash can they come off with ripping at the draw string. I guess it's personal preference, but I'm perfectly fine with these bags; they meet my needs just fine and have been happy with them.

I have always bought Members Mark kitchen garbage bags . Now it appears that you only carry those that are scented. Some of us, like me, cannot handle the strong scented bags. Please get the originals back,so that I don’t have to buy other brands. Thanks

I bought these and when it was time to use them I realized that they had a scent to them. The scent is too strong, I will have to find something else to buy My lungs just can't handle the scent The bags are great but the smell. Oh How many more times can I comment on the smell?

The bag has been made slightly smaller but it still fits my 13 gallon kitchen garbage can. It is a thick bag, that holds heavy kitchen garbage well, however, I double-bag as at times sharp items do cut through. I love these bags. Great for the money. Can't beat it. (and the more expensive bags are not nearly as thick)

From my experience, these bags break much less and hold more weight than the major brand 13 gallon bags. The bag is strong, and I would say the drawstring is much stronger than the glad bags. Love these bags, but HATE the scented ones. The scent is awful, and it's even worse when you add garbage. I reccomend the unscented bags for sure.
