I have been buying these for years using them daily in omelets, salads, and other dishes. It was good quality bacon with very little gristle and fatty pieces, 1 occurrence every 5 tablespoons. The last 3-4 bags however have had at least 1 piece of gristle per tablespoon, but usually closer to 3-4 pieces of gristle every tablespoon. This may not seem like much but the quality change is very noticable and makes me second guess buying.

We spent the money on these because we are very picky about our bacon bits. We don’t like them chewy and you can’t even chew them up. My husband says they are more like pork rinds. I gagged on them. Never will we ever buy these again. In fact we have to throw away the entire bag.

Bacon by Definition has lots of fat and some pork (meat), unlike pork meat as processed ham with very little fat. "Canadian Bacon" is processed and is like American ham. Using this instead of buying must be stored in refrigerator uncooked bacon. Used on sandwiches, pizza, inside omelets, salads, even with turkey or chicken stuffing, added to pork and beans, only limited by what you can think of adding to.

Purchased these to use in a salad. Upon opening the bag I discovered that these were severely undercooked. They were in no way crispy or useable from the bag. Thankfully I had access to an oven and was able to cook them for 10 minutes and then drain them on paper towels in order to be able to use them. I will be returning the unused portion to the store that I purchased them from.

The last bag of these we bought was a gray color and smelled horrible when we opened it. To be fair, we buy these at least 5 times a year and this is the first bag that was bad. Although, it seems that all of the bacon and pork items at Sam's are disgusting lately, especially the sandwich pepperoni.

I went to my pantry and pulled the package off the shelf and when i turned the package over I SAW MOLD I SAW A MOLDY MESS....the PACKAGE WAS ORDERED ON FEB 16 TODAY IS MARCH 26th It has sat on my shelf NEVER OPENED THIS WAS SENT VIA SHIPPING........WHAT A WASTE!!!!! we never used these they went B A D on the shelf

Omg best value and fresh quality. These are the best bacon bits I ever had they taste like real bacon. I was recommended by an Sam's Club employee to try it and that was the best decision ever. This product is so tasty and definitely worth the price. Must refrigerate once open to keep fresh so it won't go bad.

I've been buying this for years to use in salads, baked potatoes, and to quickly add bacon flavor when cooking. In the last few months, it's become more fat than meat. Every bag is just so much more fat. I think it's inflation but I'll rather buy a smaller bag with quality bacon bits at the same price than the same size bag filled with chewy and fatty bacon.

The last few times I have purchased this product, there have been too many clusters of bacon bits that won’t separate because it was not cut up properly. Not sure how this is processed but they probably need to sharpen the knives that cut the product up into smaller pieces.

I've purchased this product in the past when it had different packaging and have to agree with the recent reviews that the quality has dropped significantly. There is now a lot of gristle, fat, and rind included and the taste is much worse now bordering on rancid.
