I went through a few bags this summer making baked beans-delish!. I usually transfer the bag to a vacuum seal container to use with grits, baked beans, egg bites, & veggies. It's not the same as just cooked crispy bacon but comes in tops for convenience, always ready, no mess to clean on the stove, and good flavor.

This is very handy to have on hand. In colder weather we add it to the loaded potato soup, in warmer weather we add it to salads, etc. My granddaughter has addèd it to scrambled eggs. It definitely something I like to keep on hand as you never know when inspiration might hit you.

I bought these and took them home put them in the refrigerator immediately. When I open them to use them the contents of the bag was moldy. Oddly enough this is not the first time this has happened to me with this particular product. Please be aware before buying

I have bought these bacon bits many times which is why I didn’t give this one star. This time I put it in the cupboard until I opened it. Upon opening, the bacon was fuzzy and moldy!? So gross. I exchanged the package and the replacement was just fine, as expected and high quality bacon. The package says refrigerate after opening, I will be refrigerating from the get go from now on!

We like our bacon crisp, so these bits are "undercooked" for us. Fortunately this is easily remedied by dumping some onto a dish lined with a paper towel and microwaving for a minute (or two depending on the quantity). In addition to making them more crunchy, it cooks out some fat which gets soaked up by the paper towel rather than going to our arteries. As an added bonus, the kitchen acquires that wonderful 'just-cooked' bacon aroma!

I love the flavor of Member's Mark Real Crumbled Bacon and use it in many different dishes. However, I can't give it 5 stars because of the amount of gristle pieces I encounter. It's actually not a whole lot and many people don't mind it and some even enjoy crunching gristle. I'm not one of them. But yet, I still but it because it's delicious. I just try to cook it long enough to soften any gristle pieces.

The Bacon is a great alteration to packaged bacon which has to be cooked and crumbled. They suggest use on salad, baked potatoes and other food but the best I have found is the bacon used in Quiche Lorraine which calls for 1 pound of bacon cooked and crumbled, this bag is probably about equal to 10 pounds of uncooked bacon so it saves a lot of money for uses other than the little bottles of bacon and the uncooked bacon.

We have purchased this for a number of years and it has always been good quality. We recently opened a bag that was full of fat and ended up throwing it away. It is expected for some fat to be present since it is bacon but this was inedible. We will not be buying this Member's Mark product again unless some changes are demonstrated.

I thought these bacon bits would be crisper.
