This is so handy to have on my pantry shelf. Good flavor, big chunks of chicken, can use or save the juice for another recipe. I add it to my water when cooking noodles or add to base for soups. I live alone and this is so handy to add to many things to make a healthy meal.

I drained a can of this chicken, mixed it with some pre-made guacamole from Sam’s and was eating it on tortilla chips when my son (19yrs) walked it. He said “that looks good” grabbed a chip and asked “is this canned chicken?” I said no and we ate this for 10 minutes. He said “that was pretty good” - then I told him it was canned chicken. He’ll never trust me again, he hates canned chicken, no matter which store I buy it from. I bought the Sam’s brand because of the minimal ingredients. Five stars, from my family of five, even the canned chicken hater.

A pantry protein staple, especially when the youngsters aren't fond of tuna. It works in sandwiches as well as soups and stews. It's all white meat, which means it's very lean. Good flavor and handy for quick recipes (chicken noodle/rice soup or chicken gravy over biscuits). The price fluctuates a lot between fall/winter months and spring/summer. I bought this recently for under $12 (March). Last fall the price was over $18 for the same amount. Ridiculous!! Not sure if it was due to avian flu or just price gouging ?!? My dog also likes it as he gets to lick out the can! 😉 Seems to be more water/broth and less chicken than years back though.

Excellent product. Best when rinsed with fresh water, it takes away the mild tinney taste -- but the flavor is wonderful overall! We use it mostly in salads, even as the core of chicken salad. Sometimes to fortify soups/pastas (without rinsing). Sometimes has really big chunks, sometimes not. Price is high, but quality is good.

Great value for the price. Love that you drain it and place in bowl and break up with a fork. We often make chicken salad and it is delicious. Love that it is all white meat without fat. Easy pop top can for convenience. We keep it on hand at all times for a quick lunch or dinner.

I have been used this product for about 2 years, because it has many uses.For examples casseroles, pot pies,burritos,tacos,chicken salad, well that is just a few dishes. Use your imagination and you can add to the list to suit your family’s appetite.

Note: The chicken itself is very yummy. I have purchased this 6 ct of canned chicken 2 times. Both times I've had a problem. First order was smashed so much it damaged all of the cans. But 2 were opened leaking out and thru box. 2nd time 2 cans flip tops were rusty. When I opened the tab the rust went into the chicken. I opened the next with a can opener once I realized the problem, but it doesn't work well. Sam's did credit me the first order. I'd recommend sticking with the large can.

This is a product that I keep on the shelf for quick meals, to boost a meal or just to use to make chicken salad. I've added it to canned soup to make it a better lunch. It's also great for nachos or tacos. And since it is canned, it can be stored without refrigeration for a long time. I'm not the best meal planner and this has saved me many times. Another of our uses is to add some flavor to our dogs meals.

This is a wonderful and convenient product when you need just a little chicken in a salad, Ramon noodles, or a quiche. We keep several packages on hand as my spouse and I eat Ramon noodles frequently as they are a convenient lunch--or snack. The flavor cannot be beaten and tastes so fresh.
