This is made of 100%cotton but it's not that heavy dense scratchy type. It's so plush and soft you feel like you're wrapped in your favorite, soft, ever so comfy bathrobe.It has amazing absorbency and dos NOT leave a ton of lint in your dryer lint trap which happens with the towels I use regularly. I washed well for the first time with a normal laundry soap and it still remains white color and soft when you touch it. You still can see few loose lines, but really a little. Made in India! I compare with my previous towels, and I can feel my body dry so fairly quickly, and not too rough and really soft. I am so pleased with the towel and would like to purchase different colors and sets, size because summer is coming, bring them to go camping and go swimming.
