Sam's canned black beans are top quality and great price. Especially nice is the convenience of ordering on line and driving by to pick up. This was my first time to shop this way and I find it a great experience.

These beans makes great chili, chicken tortilla soup, burritos and other food that requires black beans. I've been purchasing these for years because it's a great item to have.

They rinse very well - which removes extra sodium. They are simply black beans - no mess, no fuss - I get to season them exactly how I want them. You want black beans more like char? Go get a specialty one at the grocery stores. These are simply perfect as they stand!

Yummy and healthy and a good price.

Half the cans always have dents in them. If you follow safe food procedures, you're not supposed to eat the food out of dented cans.

I have been purchasing these for 2 years(?), when they started carrying them at our Sam's. The cans are only 1/2 full of beans, the rest is liquid. They are not flavored, very plain tasting. Daughter buys hers from a different club,. and oddly her cans are full to the top with beans, hardly any liquid.

The taste was okay, the texture was a little on the hard side (just my opinion).

Maybe I am not cooking these long enough, but beans from a can are generally already cooked and just need to be heated up. I don't like these and will not repurchase.
