Purchased this item June 1st. Best if used by Jan 01 2021; Lot 0009 DB 16:56 There are way too many raisins in this product. The nuts are stale. Possibly if the ratio of raisins to nuts were correct (less raisins) the nuts would be fresh. Could the sugar content in the raisins be degrading the nut quality? I can remove excess raisins--but the nuts will remain stale. I would like to purchase a 1 week old bag to taste the quality--is it ever 'fresh?'

Iv brought this many times, but recently Iv noticed very disappointing changes. #1 Mostly peanuts #2. I like raisins but there was a lot more the usual and the quality the raisins was horrible. #3 the quality of all the nuts in general use to be way better. I hope they go back to what use to be.

My first and last purchase of this one. Fully one third of the contents are raisins. They are quite large and often come in clumps. I'd say the average one is at least twice the size of a common name-brand raisin. After eating about 8 ounces of the mix I decided to dump it all in a bowl and separate raisins out. I wound up with 4 cups and weight=19 ounces of raisins alone, so figure about 21 ounces in the full bag. I'll probably add in some better raisins in a better ratio too.
