Flavorless

These used to be delicious but not anymore. Members Mark Brand makes them now and they're awful. They used to be made by a Utah candy company. They're missing their rich buttery vanilla caramel flavor now they're just flavorless caramel with cheap chocolate.

Regular consumption is metabolic self sabotage.

Good, Bad, and Evil Ingredient Review THE GOOD • Uses real dairy ingredients: butter, cream, milk, whole milk powder. • Cocoa butter and chocolate liquor are legitimate chocolate components, not substitutes. • Vanilla extract is present, not only artificial vanillin. • No trans fats listed. • Portion size is clearly disclosed. THE BAD • Sugar is dominant and redundant: corn syrup, sugar, brown sugar, invert sugar, molasses. This is sugar stacked on sugar. • 10 g added sugar per 23 g piece. That is nearly half the product by weight. • Very low nutritional value: no fiber, negligible protein, minimal micronutrients. • Emulsifiers and stabilizers present: soy lecithin, mono and diglycerides, polysorbate 80. These are processing aids, not food. • Carrageenan included. Known to cause gastrointestinal irritation in some people. • “Natural flavors” style vanilla flavoring adds ambiguity. THE EVIL • Corn syrup and invert sugar spike blood glucose rapidly. This is metabolic stress food. • Polysorbate 80 and carrageenan have documented links to gut barrier disruption and inflammation in animal and mechanistic studies. • Bioengineered food ingredients disclosure likely refers to GMO corn or soy derivatives. • Designed for hyperpalatability: sugar plus fat plus salt in precise ratios to override satiety signals. • Zero fiber means sugar hits the bloodstream fast with no buffering. • This is not a treat with nutritional tradeoffs. It is engineered confectionery. BOTTOM LINE This product is dessert candy masquerading as premium food. It provides calories, pleasure, and dopamine. It provides no meaningful nutrition. Occasional consumption is a choice, but a bad one
