I have come to trust the Members Mark label for almost anything. I just removed 15 copper-tops from a piece of test equipment that I had forgotten about for a year or so. All 15 copper-tops were leaking and I had to replace the battery holder as well as the cells. Yes, I should have removed the cells, but it is a piece of equipment that I use fairly regularly. I hope I can trust these MM cells to last longer and not leak.

Excellent. We have been using these for years and they are just as good and even better than some brand name batteries. We always have them on hand in the event we need batteries..

Only holding a few days as opposed to a few months

These are the worst alkaline batteries. They have leaked and damaged almost every device I have used them in. They leak well before the device shows signs of low battery. As others have said, they even leak new in the package. The famous I'm pretty much done with all alkaline batteries. Rechargeable or lithium for me.

These are garbage. I bought a package in the fall. I used them in tv remotes, Kwikset door lock w/ finger print sensor, and airthjngs radon detector. I’m having to replace the ones in Kwikset about every month. In the Airthings every 6 weeks. Name brand went well over a year for both of these products. In my remotes I just discovered they had ruptured inside and ruined the remotes.

Batteries do not last as they should

So many batteries do not even work, but brand name. 3 times this happened to me

I had regularly purchased Member’s Mark batteries without much thought. Earlier this year, I bought both AA and AAA packs. After using them in multiple devices, I noticed they drained much faster than expected. To be fair, I tested them in my doorbell, which uses four AA batteries. A fresh set normally lasts around six months, but with this pack it reported low battery in under two weeks. I saw similar short life in other devices as well. I returned the remaining packs and customer service was courteous, which I appreciate. But the inconsistency was frustrating, especially for something like a doorbell where dependable power matters. Based on this experience, even as a former repeat buyer, I’m not comfortable purchasing these again.

Batteries years ago were good. Something has changed. Probably every 1 in five quit working in a short time. The sides of the batteries that die early bulge out or look crinkled. I’ll rather be safe than sorry and buy brand name from now on.

It leaks white stuff inside my clock. It wasn’t even 2 years. On the battery it says “Use by 12-2036” so it was purchased 2024, and the clock stopped moving in Dec 2025. No way this has 12 years shelf life. Worst if the worst.
