These are not the super soft Vanity Fair napkin but they do the job for which they were intended without a lot of tearing or soaking through. They're a bit better quality than the discount store brand or the generic brand at the local grocery store. The diamond design appears to be stamped on haphazardly, with some napkins having the diamonds lined up in a straight line and others with the pattern at an angle. It doesn't affect function though and is only noticeable when looking at them closely (which I did just for this review). They seem to be a little smaller than normal. I think they're making these smaller than they were before the pandemic. These measure 5 3/4" x 6 1/4". I think they used to be 6"x6".While I wouldn't use these for a formal dinner or for company, they do the job just fine for everyday use, although you'll need more than one for a greasy or messy meal.

These napkins used to be more absorbent I believe. While folded to create a 4 ply, the fabric is very thin. I think they are recycled and actually disintegrate on your fingers when wiping damp or greasy fingers on them.

The members mark brand has changed and not for the better. These napkins feel like sandpaper. I’ve been using this brand for years and something happened overnight. The price is the same. The quality has gone down.

The quality of the napkins has gone downhill.. FAST.

These were great napkins. Now thinner and feel like sandpaper.

Nothing soft about these. They feel like parchment paper.

Coarse Napkins are horrible! Contemplating returning them. Newspaper or mail order catalogs would be softer to wipe your fingers, hands definitely won’t get them near my face again! I’ve been buying Membersmark napkins for over 30 years! NEVER AGAIN!

Sams Member Mark napkins have changed and now are verybpoor quality. I returned mine and will not buy again unless they go back to the quality napkins i used to get there.

These used to be the best napkins. whatever you did change them bake. They are terrible!!!

Not sure if the paper or pattern has changed, but this item is rough on the skin and rough sounding when you fold/crinkle it.
