I tried this in my homemade chicken salad as well as a topping on my afternoon yogurt. The topping Was a great compliment for both Foods. To my surprise this was not an overly sweet topping. The pecans although honey roasted have just a hint of sweetness and the cranberries have a good balance to tart and sweet. The topping is very cranberry heavy about 80% or so . I have preferred eating a handful of the topping plain as a snack, but it would be great on salad, yogurt or baked into sweet breads or muffins. This is a versatile product. Overall not too bad. I am not a huge cranberry fan, but they balance well with the sweet, salty, and crunchy pecans. I ate them alone as a snack and could see having a handful or so when you want something a little sweet and crunchy. Suggested servings include using as a salad topper. I could definitely see that adding that little sweetness and crunch would be a welcome addition to a nice salad. Another suggested use is in yogurt, which I could also see but concerned the sweetness might be too much. Now that I have them, I will have to give it a try the next time I have yogurt. Each serving if evenly coated in a blend of salt and sugar. The topping mix has a slight crunch to it but it's definitely not hard to chew. This is delicious on salads and mixed in yogurt. It’s the perfect combination of flavors...sweet, yet tart dried cranberries and honey roasted pecans.
